In 2020 LSU Elliott regretted not running ETN

In 2022 Streeter regretted not running Shipley. When Dabo says we have things to fix, I no longer believe that statement. It's coach speak and amounts to nothing being fixed. My example is the proof. Coach speak should be a misdemeanor.

In 2020 LSU had Burrow, Chase, Jefferson and Edwards-Helaire

We couldn't get pressure and those guys were too #### good. They scored 21 points in the second quarter. Travis had 15 rushing attempts.
We weren't going to beat them running the football down multiple scores in the second half.

That game turned once Skalski got ejected and they couldn't get the calls in fast enough to set the defense and started having communication issues on the back end. I don't believe they were unbeatable, I'd take the 2018 Clemson team over that LSU team all day and that's not a Homer decision. Burrow was completely baffled until skalski got kicked out of the game and they got away with Jamar Chase pushing off of AJ Terrell for a TD and a big play.

They weren't stopping LSU even when Skalski was in there.

Skalski was ejected with 5:53 left in the 3rd Quarter.

Edwards Helaire had 16 carries for 110 yards and 5 catches for 54 yards. Burrow had 14 carries for 54 yards. They were matchup nightmares for Skalski.
Burrow was 31 of 49 for 463 yards and 5 touchdowns. Chase and Jefferson each had 9 catches - Chase for 221 yards and Jefferson for 106.
Burrow was never uncomfortable against our defensive front and Skalski's lack of speed was a weakness that they exploited repeatedly.

Playing keep away would have been helpful that night. Travis was getting yards and Trevor had the worst game of his career. Sounds like DJs entire year.

with dju at the helm. Running needs to be 80% of all plays unless we get a quicker/more accurate qb in the game.

I don't have any confidence that we could have just lined up and run it in South Carolina inbthe second half.

If we had lined up and just run at uofsc,

We win that game in spite of their punter having the game of his life. Here’s a thought, how about not running the same three plays in the same sequence. But moving on…let’s beat the heels.

I don't think we can run it consistently enough to win that game.

Yep, just coachspeak. It’s a WR mentality to abandon the run

In favor of a neverending stream of laterals and screens.
“Just get the ball out in space and let the athletes make plays”
Only it is extremely easy to shut that down with a talented defense. And WRs aren’t as tough as RBs.

Was fortunate to be able to attend that game. Will never forget Ettiene was deep for a kickoff return, I think I’m the 3rd. Caught the ball 3 yds deep in end zone. Everyone assumed he was gonna take a knee….he caught it and came out at the speed of light, crushed about 3 LSU would be tacklers and made it to about the 35. Slammed the ball down when he got up. That kid was fired up and ready to roll.
Unfortunately, TE didn’t use him to our advantage. By
