and I think Betancur will be elite level but has not seem the field.
Is this a position we need to fill from the portal ?? Birningstool is a big target and followed in a nice line of Clemson TE's going back to Dwayne Allen, Ford, Leggett, Allen

Sapp is a great receiving threat. Patt-Henry is a tremendous blocker. And Betancur has elite potential.

Patt-Henry is also a good pass-catcher.
Let’s hope that Betancur lives up the hype that he got as a HS TE.

Probably not. We also have Olsen Patt-Henry who’s been explosive with the limited amount of targets he’s had and mauls people when run blocking. He’ll likely start next year unless Bentancur shows himself to be a Kittle/Kelce type talent. Sapp seems like a nice spot player though.

While we’re at it, let’s kick off the team A.Williams, B.Wesco, TJ Moore. I’ve seen each of them drop a catchable pass this season.
Maybe you can check to see if Brannon Spector or Dacari Collins have any eligibility and can be convinced to return to Clemson. Or Braden Galloway.

Yeah he dropped a pass…happens to every WR and TE, even the best of them. Notice you didn’t bring up the 40 yard td he scored against UVA that he had to catch off of his shoelaces. Is it always some negative bs with you dude? Weren’t you running around like a bat out of #### before the season started telling everyone that would listen that Cade was a useless bust that would take us nowhere?

Um the number two guy all year has been Henry. Sapp has been situational. I have high hopes for Betancure next year to split snaps with Henry. I think Sapp continues to be a few reps a game.

I see more potential from within to fill the void at TE than at other positions. Any available scholarship needs to go to those positions.

Don't think so. We've got three legit guys and a pretty decent freshman in this class so I'd imagine we roll with those guys. Can't imagine we'd have a difference maker TE fall in our laps from the portal anyway.

Part-Henry and Sapp are both dependable and if the hype is to be believed, Bettancur could be out best ever. Unless one of them leaves, I’d think we’re set at TE.
