No national search. No round of interviews to truly evaluate the top candidates. Quick hire and probably a lazy one.

Dabo remains one of the premier coaches in the playoff era.

Brad has two good years in 14 seasons, and it appears they’re taking a step back this year, even with immense resources.

But he frequently fails to go outside who he knows well (current coach on staff, former player, etc.).

Regardless, he doesn’t seem to conduct national searches. How many people did Dabo interview before he hired Riley? I would bet good money it was under 3.

Riley was a rare outside hire by Dabo for a coordinator position. Goodwin and Conn were promoted from within. Same goes for Streeter and Elliott.

He promoted Streeter from within, replaced with Riley.

He promoted Austin from within, replaced by Luke.

He may be loyal to a fault and feels he can bring his people up with him, but he’s also proven he will make changes that need to be made. If he is in contact with potential candidates then why does it have to be a national search. To assume this change would be a lazy, half-a$$ed attempt is just another chance for you to take a shot at him

Look back over the last 5-6 years and that is what you’ll see.

Not surprisingly, that also corresponds to the decline in our program.
