Don’t believe Cade is the one to CONSISTENTLY lead the team 😔 He’s unfortunately a sometimer. Great choice as a son in law, but otherwise 🤷♂️

yeah, no. Their SDE absolutely abused 78 the entire game and had Cade running for this life all mnight. How many times did he have to evade pressure and throw the ball out of bounds to avoid a sack??, that is not on him. The blindside sack that led to a fumble was not on him either. Averaging 1.7ypc does not make his job very easy, they knew he was throwing on First down and pinned their ears back. When we did throw down field, our receivers either got mugged with no flag or flat-out dropped the ball. We were off schedule all night, 3rd and long, 3rd and long, rinse and repeat.
It also did not help to have both 5th-year starters out at Defensive end with a true freshman and Denoff taking every snap in the 4th quarter. That is when Miami ran it down our throats, that is not on Cade or the Staff. And if not for the 1 80-yard bust, or Shipley's fumble, we hold Miami to less than 4 ypc and win the game easily.

Yep that’s part of it. A big part. How do you fix it then? Do you keep the same coach in charge of coaching the OL? Do you just go ahead next year with the same guys without adding much needed help from the portal? I don’t see a path for improvement that involves staying the coarse. The OL needs a complete overhaul. Coaching and players. It can be done.

on this O-Line that a great O-Line COACH couldn't fix. But, it would take at least a year to undo the damage that has been done, apparently.

The most frustrating part isn’t the discussion about talent versus coaching (which are both legitimate arguments). It’s the fact that it’s the same #### conversation every freaking year. And nothing is being done. Zero. Zilch.

Thank you for "dumping" that right there. That needed to be said. The QB position demands a lot of a guy all at once - discerning the defense and any adjustments, making reads, choosing targets, being aware of pressure, avoiding pressure, executing, etc. It's a lot. I think giving QB's more leeway than other positions is warranted. I don't see Cade as a terrible decision maker, but a very imperfect one who has a lot of bad things going on around him that's exacerbating the situation.

100% agree.
Number issue to fix immediately: improve OLine play. Find who is a fighter, a dog.
Then find a coach who can create a bunch of mean as heck dogs. A tough SOB who loves his players andajes them earn playing time.
Clemson has never had consistently good above average OLine play. Make it top priority.
Heck ask for help from G Riley. He has to know people too.
