Neither Renfrow nor Beasley are a fair comparison

Beasley was 3-star recruit... Nolan doesn't even appear to be ranked at all (off the radar).
Renfrow was a walk-on... he wasn't offered a scholarship until after a year and after he proved himself. Even then it was only for one year at first and subject to renewal.
Now... I'm not saying Nolan shouldn't have been offered. I don't have enough information and will defer to the coaching staff that just took us to the National Championship. However, this offer does raise one of my eyebrows and makes me wonder.

You do know that all scholarships are 1 year contracts? No one is given a 4 or 5 year contract, that is just assumed.

I'm going to "assume" that all of our 6 legacy recruits will remain on scholarship until they graduate. Would you like to bet against that? I'm willing to make a fairly large bet.

I do agree, I'm just thinking about how it turns out positively. Angry Tigernet fans aren't going to conivnce the staff to pull a kid's scholarship.
Anyways, In just threw Beasley in there since he was ranked as a TE coming out of high school.

I'd honestly rather have had him walk-on and try to earn a scholarship, but there's nothing in our power to change it.

What about Stanton Seckinger? Late pick up due to having some some scholarships open up...granted he's not an NFL type player, but still a very solid role player for us who has made key plays in games.

Well he was a starter and had his moments. Not saying he is all world just saying he was a part of our top 10 defense.

From a coaches standpoint

If you watch his entire Hudl Sr.Yr. And then compare it to Rahshaun Smith's. This kid is more impressive in closing speed, finding the ball and delivering a blow. Not an opinion.

I intended for this post to boost the support of him. I meant it as in players that are under the radar can have a big impact on the team. I'm all for having Turner on the team.
