get as mad at the people who created this virus as we do the people who have differing opinions on it than us? Or if we took as much action against the people who made it as we do the people who have to deal with it? I don't know what form that "action" could or should take - far above my pay-grade - but still, it's pretty well documented that it was a man-made virus and no one seems to really care about that or how it was released - however intentionally or unintentionally.
Too bad we can't unite behind that.

I guarantee you that if this escaped from the CDC (whether we "created" it or not), the world would be demanding the USA be punished for it. And we would be beating ourselves up over it, too. The CCP hasn't so much as said, "Oops, sorry about that."

we would be writing BIG checks to everyone and falling all over ourselves apologizing. I have never understood why we are essentially giving the Chinese a pass. Not a conspiracy guy, but you do have to wonder how much we knew about the "research".

Of course it has, as it should have. China is a nuclear power it is much more dangerous with their current army. The only thing we can do is impose sanctions to many countries now. There isn't anything we can do militarily. The world is changing.

It's been investigated. Nobody is opposed to an investigation, but it's a waste of time. We won't learn anything with the Chinese being honest and telling us what we are looking to find out. When the Repubs dominate in 2022 it won't change a thing.

The people in China don't care what we think. We can get mad all we want, find out what happened, etc etc, and it won't change a thing or make any difference. We have to worry about where we live where we might have a say.

First of all, they would tell us in a round about way, tough shyatt, and to kick rocks. Also, tariffs don't work on them. We just mess ourselves up when we do that. The truth is we will never know exactly how they made that mistake and there is nothing we can do about it. They hurt themselves too when they created when this worldwide blunder. There is not a thing we can do though to them. The best we can do is make ourselves less reliable on them, but that's it.
