If you think people are tough on Dabo

and as much as I hate Ohio State...look at the position Ryan Day is in. The guy has never finished lower than 10th in the rankings since he has been head coach yet alot of people there are saying if he does not win the title this year he could be out of a job. Again, I don't like the guy and I really don't like Ohio state or Ohio as a state but it gets crazy. He has never had more than a 2 loss season, has finished in the top 10 every year he has been the head coach and in spite of what the AD says the word is that he'll be out if he does not win the CFP. Like with us losing to Carolina, they apparently can't stomach losing to Michigan the last four in a row.

There isn’t much to do in Ohio other than watch Ohio State, unless you want to subject yourself to the Browns or Bengals. I can’t blame them for being stir-crazy

Yes folks there is quite a bit of drama up here right now...The one thing that is in Day's favor is his buyout is roughly 37 Million....The cost of that and the cost involved after that is a little bit of a safe space for him....
I get why they people are in an uproar...It has always been beat Michigan...win the Big Ten & National Championship...He also still has a chance to redeem himself this season but I don't think he will in the playoff....The Michigan losses really sting a lot of people....That is the number one goal in the culture.

The cardinal sin for coaching at OSU : you can't lose to Michigan every year. It cost John Cooper in the 1990s, and it will cost Day as well eventually.

I think his sustained success that you mentioned is the exact reason those fans want him gone. They consistently fall short of getting over the hump and winning a championship, so they’ve probably all accepted the fact that he just can’t get it done.
All that being said, screw Ryan Day and his hair/eyebrow dye.

ESPN is ready to fire him as soon as he loses in CFP

They seem to think this season is a national championship or he is out...
With that QB, of all the QB's they've had and they think this current QB is the guy...Howard is a decent enough QB, but he is the worst QB they've had since Ryan Day has been there.
Ryan Day, and I dislike that guy as much as DD at NCState, probably more, but to expect a title or be fired is a bit crazy... OSU fans seem to think they are a gift to CFB, but in a conference full of duds for multiple years they only took advantage and got 1 troply since the old days of Maurice Clarrett

If he had beaten Michigan he wouldn't have half the heat.
I agree its ridiculous either way. I don't like the guy but he can flat out coach and recruit.

With his roster he really has no excuse. It’s more to do with not beating Michigan imo.

People are not tough on Dabo. He makes $11M per year and is adapting 2-3 years too late

Honestly Cryan’ Day isn’t a good coach, just a big whiner. Brutus the buckeye could deliver a top 10 program up there with the ungodly resources they have at their disposal. But I’m happy to see him still there, he deserves that fan base just as much as they deserve him!

It was actually a birthday dinner for him. We were talking about Ryan Day's situation. He's a reasonable guy. And, he admitted that there are a bunch of Buckeye fans who thin that even if Day won the national championship it would still be a failure of a year. Beating Michigan is all that counts.

You make a good point. I asked a guy in my small group bible study about it, who grew up in Columbus and went to OSU, and he said when you hand a guy 20M to go build a roster, you expect championships. If you don't deliver, the natives get restless pretty quick.

Well his payroll doesn’t help his cause but I’m not sure the AD is quite as dumb as the idiots on eleven warriors.
