I’m guessing they would have valued the undefeated thing at that point.
Or would Texas have still made it?

That is an interesting question, and we will never know the answer…….

I do think yes, they get in because the Bama loss reduces the quilts win of Texas

exactly, the Bama win "propped" up TX win in Tuscaloosa, and because they couldn't justify Bama over TX, they had to include both and FSU was the lamb
