I think we would have beaten OU or UGA in the semi-final

after studying their games the last couple of months. Their defenses, rushing defenses, positions, etc. are not nearly as solid. They have talent, but not as deep or as much across the board as Alabama. Plus, one week of preparation is different than one month.
Just sayin'.
So, put that in your pipe and smoke it.

I'm not sure our OL could have held off Presbyterian College's pass rush.

I'm sure they feel the same way after watching us play Bama.

I think Uga would've been a better matchup for us. Not sure we could've scored enough to beat OU though. They tore up a really good Georgia defense. Georgia only pulled that one out because they got some huge chunk plays - something we were really bad at generating this year.

Georgia only won that game because Riley made a bonehead

decision to squib kick the ball before the end of the first half that gave Georgia six seconds to get a field goal. Kick it out of the endzone and Georgia takes a knee into the locker room. There is no OT and Oklahoma wins the game in regulation.

Never mind Ga's defense held OU to 7 pts in the second half......and 3 in OT.

Bama in general is a crappy semifinal draw.

Saban is notorious for getting his teams ready to play with a month or better to get ready. I too, think we'd have fared better against the other semifinal teams.

There are no excuses for our loss. We got destroyed. However, it keeps chapping my butt that Alabama was even in the playoffs. Maybe in basketball if a team like Duke loses in the elite eight and the NCAA feels that they are still better than one of the teams in the final four they will just swap those 2 teams. The conference championship has got to mean more than this. If Bama wins tomorrow night then our national champion will be a team that didn’t even play for their conference championship. Like Deptula said, Bama was rewarded for losing to Auburn by being insulated from further injury or loss. Doesn’t matter that they were better than us. They didn’t do what should have been a requirement to play us anyway. Just because Ohio St was given the same benefit the year before doesn’t mean you can right a wrong with another wrong.

The elephant in your room is:
Do we put the best teams in or no? I've seen a majority of Clemson posters say yes. One cannot have it both ways.

case then you should be feeling pretty good about year. It was a rebuilding year and we were still one of the top four in the country. #GoTigers

This years playoff games reminded me very much of the BCS days, where they shoved the teams forward that they wanted to finish on top, and it turned out to be the same ole sec bull shiot!!!
