Hey I certain this is a slim chance but has anyone had luck retrieving an iPhone from the bottom of the lake and it still work after drying out?

It should still work , get on Facebook amd look up lake Hartwell diver . They will come find it

You should be able to find someone that will help you. Scuba divers are more plentiful than you may realize. Me and my first cousin use to scuba dive at Santee almost every week, but I haven't gone scuba diving in probably 20 + years. Call a dive shop in your area, they should know someone that would help you out...

Whattttt, are you sure that Iphones are airtight and 100% leak resistant. I know and understand that most cell phones made these days are water resistant at a certain depth for a certain amount of time when totally submerged. But I've never heard of one that could withstand a deep part of a lake for days without it becoming trash. I have a Moto G power 5 G that was made in 2023. But it says that it's water resistant at a depth of 6-8 meters for certain amount time. But I haven't heard of one being watertight deep in a lake for days...

It’s in supposedly 7-8 feet of water. I have location on life 360. My thought was probably not but it’s $1000 for a new one so maybe worth retrieving maybe not

IPHONE at 7-8 feet will probably live for a while submerged, if you hurry and find someone to retrieve it, it probably can be repaired....
But like I said, call the Dive shop in your area, if not any, call a bigger city, we never had a problem finding a dive shop back in the day!!!

The iPhone 15 is water RESISTANT not waterproof it’s rated to handle 18 feet of water for 30 minutes. I’m guessing that if you left in a bathtub for a day it would be toast.

My Moto G lived with me in the pool last summer for over an hour before I realized my phone was in my back pocket of my jean shorts!!!!

(864) 622-9338 is the number for Lake Hartwell Divers. They find phones, jewelry, or whatever else you may have dropped in the water.
