If he can track down a 3 inch baseball, hopefully that means he will have no issues running down an 8 inch football.

Don't think you can take the chance if you don't. I mean if they want to sign a safety and you're not sure what these other guys are doing you can't wait til the 7th to go back out and find the back up. Anyways I think the guys they are after are going to be guys they would sign regardless if this kid commits or not. I don't think its a sign one way or another just the backup plan that can't wait any longer in implementing.

Think we may have had another kid named Flowers that wasn’t highly rated but ended up averaging 5 yards every time he touched the ball.
Hope we get this fella. Sounds like we’d be fortunate to get him. Trusting the coaches have found another diamond, and could help us in baseball too.

Didn't it say he signed with Tennessee to play baseball so wasn't being recruited for football. But Tennessee recently released him from the commitment, I suppose upon his request.

Fallback. Not going to get Surtain, O'Neill or Campbell. I sure hope he ends up being better that rated and expected. I trust the coaches. Yet Clemson at the DB position has to win more of these battles with the high profile guys, and not let the Georgia's and Alabama's keep winning them.
