IF DEION SANDERS WAS THE HC AT CLEMSON....

I WOULD NOT WATCH A SINGLE SNAP OF CLEMSON FOOTBALL. HE'S CLASSLESS AND A VIRUS TO ANY PROGRAM HE COACHES. I WOULD PREFER TO WATCH THE GOLDEN GIRLS OVER A CLEMSON GAME IF HE EVER BECAME THE HEAD COACH OR EVEN THE WATER BOY AT CLEMSON. IN FACT, HE SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED THE PLEASURE OR PRIVILEGE OF EVER WALKING ON CAMPUS THERE.

How is he a virus to any team he Coaches? Before Colorado, he has been the Head Coach of one college team and turned them from a mediocre team to an undefeated team in 3 years. He has Jackson State going to a Bowl Game and he is even going to coach them in the Bowl Game. He was offensive coordinator at several high school's and the kids and parents loved him. You might think he is arrogant, but he is not a virus to any school he has coached. He has helped each team he has been with. There have been no scandals involving Deion.
I get it, some consider him arrogant. However, he has done well thus far, and he has left each program he has been at in better condition than before he coached there. He brought a lot of attention to HBCU's this fall, and this is good for the SWAC and all HBCU's. He gave Jackson State a blueprint for future success.

Although he does come across as arrogant and his past lends to that conclusion, he sounds like a different man than he was when he was young. I watched his introduction to the players at Colorado and it was to get their attention. Which he did. Every eye in the room was locked on him. He called them out for being the worst power 5 team in the country. Told them they were going have to earn their place. Not big on the flash, but he is still relevant because of promotion. Kids know who he is.

I guess some people have never seen a coach instill accountability in a program. Prime is old school and this is what these soft ### kids need. If you can't cut it then you don't belong on the team. This everyone gets a trophy for just showing up is why we are at the point we are. I can promise you Nick Saban tells his team the same thing. This is why they constantly over sign because he knows everybody is not going to make it. Prime is a good virus that needs to spread further so maybe one day we can have some real men in the world again.

In The Dark Side of the Game Tim Green describes Prime (his Falcon teammate) as being a really nice guy taking time to talk with Green’s hometown friends and stuff even though he and Green weren’t really close or anything. That was when Prime was at the peak of brashness. A few years later after considering suicide, Sanders had a profound religious experience. I really don’t think he’s all that bad.

and an asset to Colorado and College Football. He inspires and promotes discipline to these kids. Go listen to him talking to his teams. He's great. As far as trying to get kids who aren't committed yet to his new school, he's just doing his job. So not sure of your beef. Unless you know him personally and know something we don't.

I could not say that for two reasons.

It would take a Penn State type fall for me to turn my heart away from Clemson. I despised some of Deon's antics and his overblown ego but when I became aware that he got saved by the Blood of Jesus he became family.
He remains spiritually young and I know from personal experience that My Lord does not use a magic want to transform His children to suddenly become all He wants us to be.
When He said 'Be ye holy as I am...' He was describing a process which He manages to make us more like Him. In fact, it is such that we will not be bored in eternity for we will spend it growing in His knowledge and grace.
We can discuss this at your leisure but we shouldn't discuss Deon, we should pray for him.

ClemsonTiger1988® That brings up an interesting point. I doubt it ever would happen, but if something ever happened at Clemson like what happened at Penn State my days of being a Tiger would end. I could not support a University that tried to cover up such heinous crimes.
