Lets have a tigernet pregame golf/drinking outing at Torrey Pines. Play Torrey Pines South a few weeks before the PGA plays the Farmers Insurance Open on 24 Jan.... The rough will be deep, the fairways narrow. We'll play from the tips and drink a beer a hole.

Tee off at 0700, and still plenty of time to finish the round and get to Petco Park about the same time as the team arrives. Plenty of great bars across the street from the stadium.

I live two blocks away from Petco so we could even have a pre-game at my place. You can see Petco from my balcony.

I am going to be in Jacksonville for New Years weekend. Rates at Sawgrass start at $650 per golfer. We’ll be playing somewhere else.

Why in the world would anyone want to plat Torrey Pines from the tips? I’d bet a 10 handicapper couldn’t break 100.

The "virtual tips"..... like the browns or greenies. I'm just trying to paint a picture. Get people excited about the perfect round of golf in the AM, and a Tigers victory in the PM. AKA... the next perfect day next to a Clemson Natty.

I’m 68, I couldn’t break 200. Sounds like a young buck outing. I’m an old buck! A couple beers and I’d be looking for the next tree not my golf ball. Have fun.

Sounds like an opportunity.... I'm not young either. Just thought I'd give it the ole college try.

Seriously though.... I already booked a foursome at 0700 on Torrey Pines South. Its a public course and you can book online up to 90 days out.

I can't get anyone resident rates, but I can make the reservation. If the Tigers come to SD, and you want to commit to playing, T-net email me and I'll make the tee time if available.
