...discount eight consecutive national championships by SEC schools. He can no longer tell a recruit that Alabama is winning them all.
Heck. Tonight might further the continental shift divide between the SEC and other conferences. FSU looked simply amazing this year, yet they are getting destroyed by a rebuilding SEC team. The question is no longer, "Which school will win the national title this year?" Instead, it will be, "Which SEC school will win the national title this year?"

Dabo's job on the recruiting trail more difficult. He has to convince players from GA, SC, NC, and FL, who have only witnessed SEC dominance, that they should give an ACC school like Clemson a chance. In the past, Dabo has discounted the SEC winning streak by claiming that it's mostly just Alabama winning the titles.

Many recruits in the Southeast want to play for SEC schools. No? Many SEC coaches emphasize their conference membership, especially when recruits are considering an ACC school like Clemson. No?

this year due to the comp they were playing.their schedule was weak. i wouldnt say auburn is rebuilding though. most every player on the roster was there when gus was there as OC so it isnt like they had to learn a total new scheme and what not.not to mention gus recruited someof the players that are on this team.

It has been so long since someone other than the Sec won it that I am shocked people aren't push for two crystal footballs.... One for the Sec champion and one for the other 119 schools to fight over. I guess the fear is the SEC would get two of them to often.

a brand of football established by the likes of John Heisman, Frank Howard, Danny Ford, and now Dabo Sweeney.
We play in one of the best stadiums in the country. We do things right and we win ball games.
We recruit in our base which is the South. When the playoffs start all of this conference foolishness will end. There will be 4 teams from the 4 major conferences who won their title game. That's it. Clemson needs to focus on beating FSU and when we do--we will be in the one of those playoff games.
GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
