Left guard or tackle worth who are responsible for safe-guarding the QB’s asse from blind-sided hits like occurred on the UGa QB resulting in a crucial fumble, an ensuing TD and basically the game?

At some point, each posisition is going to have a base price range( salary) as in the NFL and then it will increase based on performance. But it will eventually become fairly standard.
College fb is going to become NFL lite and I can see college teams eventually being owned by private equity and the NFL teams. Carolina Panthers could end up owning USUC OR CLEMSON. FALCONS OWNING UGA, ETC.This makes more sense as a business model.

Should be on college campuses that are harboring them via an athlete dept bent on making $ while winning trophies?
Saying, either the college administration (President & BOT) should come out and state the obvious or stand up for higher education and go back to sports teams being amateur clubs on their campuses.

It makes no difference what a player is worth, it matters whether his team wins or loses. If you get hung up on the dollars, you miss the real worth of an athlete.

NFL Starting QB Salaries* Average: $32M Max: $60M Median: $39M
NFL Left Tackle - Highest 32 salaries Average: $11M Max: $25M Median: $7M
So, a QB is somewhere in the range of 3x more valuable than a left tackle, on average. But, you cannot get much at QB on the low-end, where LT has several starters making under $10M (nearly 2/3 of the league).
*Note - I adjusted for 4 high-profile injuries/releases and used the injured starters' salaries, not the backup who is now playing. Those players are Prescott (DAL), Lawrence (JAX), Watson (CLE), and Jones (NYG).

I explained below that I think NIL will move in that direction, but right now, people aren't spending a lot of money on left tackles because it's not as glamorous and doesn't give the same bragging rights.

My understanding from booster friends is that there is a general understanding of the value of various positions, though of course certain stars will be worth more. At the moment, the big bucks are going towards skill players because every booster wants to brag they're the one that brought in the star QB, WR, or defensive end. But my friends do think that as NIL slows down (as teams fail to win championships and boosters get tired of blowing millions for no results), the priorities of the smartest collectives will be like the NFL. Left Tackles will end up being tremendously valuable, over a million, while interior linemen will be worth much less.
