Well….proof positive that College Football is now the Pro “semi’s”…..glad we got on board early with Kelly and appreciate his love for Clemson

Agree.
He's right, "college and pro have never been so similar " . Now we need it to be "similar " with contracts that stipulates what players can't do about leaving.

It also sounds as if Dabo, Neff, and the BOT's brought in probably one of the better one that was available for the picking this early in the stages of the changing of college sports, hope he works out really well for our FB team!!!

In today's CFB environment, if you DON'T have someone with NFL experience like Kelly on your staff, you're behind the 8-ball. His hire is further evidence that Dabo is--albeit slower than some of the self-proclaimed "experts" on here would like--embracing this new philosphy.

I am glad that Clemson players are more mature and ready, but I hate to think of Clemson as NFL-lite (AAA if you will) like I think of the SEC. Yes, we need to be smart, but I love Dabo's emphasis on scholastics.

Anytime we scouted players here, it was easy. They were mature, had life skills, knew football were clean mentally, it was just easy scouting. They always came through for us, assimilated quickly into an NFL team.
Mature. Life skills. Clean mentally.

I am almost certain that DW4 was ok while at Clemson , focused on football and greatness.
If I were to guess I'd say his deficiencies didn't arrive until after the pro money truck showed up.
Just hazarding .
