Calling that a bad half is like calling the titanic a bad cruise. Worst. Half. Ever. In the tournament. Historically embarrassing #### show program.

Plus it was more than a half that was bad. We didn't show up until a little over 7 minutes left in the game. The first 33 minutes were an abomination.

Absolutely, I don't think that Will Wade has signed a contract with NC State yet, and Neff probably change his direction to Clemson and if not, this won't be the first time that we will get beaten by him!!!

With only having 7 real minutes of playing sound basketball shows IMO a poorly prepared and poorly coached team, and if anybody else can see it with a different look, please let's hear it bc to me it looked basically like the same coached teams we have watched for the past 15 years. If the ACC would have been the same conference in basketball as we've seen in the not so long ago past, this team probably wouldn't have been invited to the tournament...

Because of the marching orders. You speak out against Clemson and you sent away. Too much media control. The guys on WCCP must be quiet and stay in line.

They won’t question anything, especially Walt. He ran his mouth all year about how this team would win the ACC, “all they do is win”, blah blah blah. Knocks the SEC every chance he gets. I haven’t checked the scores yet, but I know of at least 3 SEC teams who were winning and the only ACC team left is Dook. Brownell must let him use the pool house or something 🤷♂️

Also, while he is being asked that question, ask him why he refuse to just keep pulling guys off the bench to play in trying to find a guy that could get the ball to fall through the hoop. More times than not, minor changes for just a few minutes will help to turn thing back to the positive side and away from the way things are going.
Being honest Brownell didn't coach or look like a coach that should worrying about the way things were going for the entire 1st half...

BrownL regularly has bad halves. It's the story of his career.

NOT JUST ONE DAY
His teams regularly have strong starts, then go cold. He gets outcoached in tournaments. He's had consistent losing streaks after strong starts to the season. And he never wins games that could actually boost our program.

David Hood, maybe you should ask Coach Brownell if he regrets not giving the bench players more minutes in games this year. With Dillion Hunter hurt, there were zero players capable of producing quality minutes or any type of scoring. As an example, we were up 20 on UNC with around 10 minutes to go and he kept the starters in for most of the remaining time. He did this all season, kept the rotation to mostly 6 players.

Not something I’m upset with. Do you want our bench playing more this game? Couldn’t hurt, I agree.

And it is a bad time to give the Head Coach a contract extension before the NCAA Tournament.

Bottom line, we had a game of 1 more. We needed 1 more minute, 1 more 3 point shot, 1 more rebound and on and on. There are very few teams that would have only scored 13 points in a half and very few that would cut a 24 point deficit to 2 in a 15 minute span. Nobody wants to lose. We had a great year, thanks for the memories.

I say that same thing basically all the time, don't tell me how well we're doing until the season is over and the tools have been put away until next season. Then tell me about what you did and not what you could have done!!!

Left in the game... They came out in the 2nd half and EXTENDed the lead and kept it around 20 pts or more until 6 or so minutes left.
Terrible, embarrassing performance by a team full of old dudes... Lack of effort, outmatched and outplayed for a long while. Them boys didn't know ### hit them until it was too late

We should hope that the contract doesn't get signed, 15 years is way more than enough of Brad Brownell!!!

In the first half, they missed their first 12 three point attempts!!!! And several of them were WIDE open! I'm not the biggest brownell fan...but he's not out there shooting. It was pathetic! And then the turnovers and lack of defensive rebounds...this was mostly on the players.

Totally agree. Missed tons of open shots, and when they drove they got stripped. No combination of players made a difference - everybody was ice cold.

Brad is the only one that can make changes to interrupt what is happening right now in a game, but he has always failed his teams, sometimes a team has to be shocked into getting back on track!!!

How good was it though? Sure we won a lot of games but the ACC was as bad as it has ever been. We lost to our rival who were also terrible. We didn’t win the ACC and we lost in the first round of the NCAA tourney.

Brad Brownell is the basketball version of Tommy Bowden… can’t win the ones that matter and looses to a team that he shouldn’t consistently. Last year was lightning in a bottle and luck. As someone stated earlier the ACC was weak this .year. In short is same old same old basketball tigers .

Would be interested to know why Foster played so little in the last seven games when Wiggins was disappearing frequently. For the season, Foster averaged one RB for every 4 mins played. Wiggins was one for every 8. Shef was one for 3.55 and Lahkin one for 3.69. Also Foster shot 19 for 34 - .559 inside the arc and 4 for 7 .571 outside, even thought the latter is a small sample size.
