I would hope that at some point Dabo would come out with his take on this lawsuit and leaving or trying to find a way out of the ACC...like it or not he is the leader of our football program and has made Clemson a Powerhouse in the ACC (not the SEC or the eieio). We will not be the top dog in the SEC or the BIG, you and I know that! Dabo could add some clarity!

Dabo has said his job is to get the team ready to play and win football games. That’s his job. All the other political BS is someone else’s job and he has already said that.

If that political BS is going to ruin our football team and the conference and opponents we've been with the Southland days, then it ceases to be BS. The real BS is a belief that a little more money and playing Georgia, Florida, Auburn and Alabama every year is going to help us out! You folks should root for the savages at FSU...they are your cousins!

The ACC made their bed with the teams that they decided to add. Teams that were value dilutive, and would cost the conference members in the long run. They chose to expand with private institutions that had no ability to keep up in the resources department when it came to football, which is the driver for these TV contracts. We had a commissioner who was more interested in helping out family members businesses, and leaving his legacy, than actually doing what was in the best interest of the member institutions. His predecessor, who is named in lawsuits of his own due to his dereliction of duty while the AD at Northwestern, seemed to be cut from the same cloth, and unilaterally extended TV contract option deadlines. Deadlines, I might add, that the conference membership were unaware of as they were told the TV contract went through 2036, and not, as we've all come to learn now, 2027.

Who we've played with since the southland days is irrelevant. There's 5 teams left from the Southland conference, and 12 more that have been added since. Did you throw the same fit when those teams were added? Clemson moving to the B1G or SEC will not ruin the football team, regardless of the chicken little mentality of some of the fanbase. I'm also not sure of your concept of money, when you profess that we'd only be making a little bit more money, rather than stating the fact that the money is roughly twice what we make currently. Clemson's job, is to look out for what is best for Clemson, just as the heads of the ACC have looked out for what was best for them.

Clemson has never played in the Southland conference. Maybe you are referring to the Southern Conference. This conference at one time had Alabama, Auburn, GT (when a powerhouse) and your coots.

I’m confident about that. No coach needs to comment, it’s outside their area of expertise and those comments serve no purpose other than to potentially screw up court proceedings and negotiations.

Beamer should be commenting on suing the SEC to get out, since USCjr has never dominated well… anything. I think their best bet is to stay and continue leeching $$$ off the good programs. If they want to try to dominate anywhere, I’d suggest either SoCon (oops, Citadel is there), or maybe reforming the Metro Conference, though I don’t think they even dominated there the first time around.

This notion that the BIG and SEC will be these Monopolies that will dominate College like totalitarian dictators is possibly premature wishful thinking in the long run. You simply have too many teams beating each other up before the playoffs start, and the 12-team playoff will further injure many players. 12 games in the regular season, plus 3, maybe 4 games after that to win a National Championship? That's a meat-grinder schedule, friends. It is quite unfortunate that the PAC-12 and BIG 12 has dissolved, and this doesn't bode well for NCAA Football in the future, notwithstanding the transfer portal (free agency). This is NOT College Basketball, where you run up and down a floor: it is a very physical sport. The NFL fell prey to the demands of big-money, causing a 17 week schedule plus the Playoffs. Seems cool, but not a long-term answer for the sport. This why a running back career last an average of 5 years. Seems like in the near future, Stubborn coaches like Swinney will reap the benefits by keeping players
longer than two years before they transfer instead of this "revolving door mentality. Just saying.

Dabo is 18-9 against the coattail riding SEC . I believe he would be just fine .most of those are the top teams in the SEC , other than the door step of college football game coots .
