I always liked Nate but after his recent comments on Dabo and NIL I am so disappointed in him! Not sure how much of the article is exaggerated but given how the media relishes any opportunity to criticize our program I can’t believe Nate would give them more ammunition. Cmon Nate, you have friends for life and people you care about here. When did you become one of those “all about me” people. You’re better than this!!

Nate Wiggins is a prime example of today's "money driven" athletes. Clemson doesn't need his kind. Don't let the door slap you out.

You didn’t watch it well enough. My first reaction was how ungrateful he is for his time here. All about me and money. And opposite of everything we stand for in our football program.

The sooner yall come to an understanding that it’s always about the money the better off you will believe. You are niave in thinking that these kids want to come here because of these hills. Give me a break. Just like the power rangers came back because they wanted one more year in college. Yeah I go ocean front property.

We just don't hear them say it publicly.
Norm for any football team (even moreso for most teams than for Clemson).
1. I am playing football at Big Tech State to prepare for NFL. 2. I will do the minimum academic stuff possible and still stay eligible to play football for Big Tech State.
Not all athletes are that way. But, far too many than we want to admit are.

A lot of high school athletes overestimate their abilities (or they underestimate just what it takes to make the NFL). I used to think that there were adults along the way that would try to ameliorate that dilemma, but the system now exacerbates the problem - to the detriment of the vast majority of athletes.

He lied throughout the interview. He was originally supposed to go to LSU and he stated that he de-commited because Coach O was fired. This is not true. Coach O was fired in October 2021 and Wiggins committed to Clemson in January of 2021 and competed in spring practice. Coach O was fired after he was enrolled and playing at Clemson.
He was throwing shade during the entire interview. He should be thankful Clemson gave him the opportunity it did.

No, if y'all listen to what he said , he was going to transfer after his freshman year. It was between Oregon and lsu. Coach o got fired so he was going to transfer to Oregon but his mother said it was too far. So he decided to stay at Clemson. Had O not been fired, he was going to lsu.
I have zero problems with what or how he said it. If you've ever been around the African American players, you'd know that's how they talk amongst themselves in their age group.
His post game interviews with us were ok. The hypocrisy on T-Net, and the USA by and large is rampant. Half the country would rather divide us than to unite us.
In a lot of ways, judge Keller is correct. The blind loyalty to Dabo is astounding. Bretfsu said it much better than I. Nate is representative of more players than not.

I did listen to the interview and what you referenced is not what I was referencing. You have to listen to the entire interview. What you referenced was after his sophomore year, what I referenced was during his recruiting process when he was still in high school. Furthermore, I think it is #### poor to bring race into this. No one else did this but you.
Thanks though.

EXACTLY! I remember seeing him get burned all day along up in Winston Salem against the Deacs. So bad in fact, he had to be removed from the game several times because he was getting burnt early and often.
FWIW, DJU had a great game that day.

True. Sam Hartman picked on him all day. Nate made the situation worse by being immature and showing his *** on the sideline
There wasn't much he couldve done. SH was deadly accurate that particular day and doubt any CB would fare much better.
To his credit he accepted the challenge and later blossomed.
But perhaps he has more progress to be made ?
Much like Nuk perhaps ?
He too didn't please fans on some occasions but that later evolved for most fans into a more favorable light.

It wasn’t necessarily what he said, it was more about the article written by sports illustrated following his interview on the podcast. I am disappointed that Nate fed into any of their narratives at all.

Agree with you. He plays for my Baltimore Ravens so I get to hear him often. Very disappointed in his attitude towards Clemson. He came off as minor league and lost credibility. If you can understand what he says, you're lucky. On the field, has a great deal to learn...holds too much

NIL will become more of a distraction in the future. We should appreciate Dabo for the way he runs the program and the work he and his staff put in.
We are fortunate to get the quality of players we have that for the most part have excellent character.

But I couldn't give two shakes about what any former player does after they leave Clemson.
I don't wish them any ill will, but I literally don't follow any of them, nor do I care where they play, what they say, where they go...anything.
Once they go pro I lose all interest in them. I don't mean that in a bad way at all, that's just how I feel. It's the same with any player that hits the portal...I don't care.
I just don't get wrapped up in any of them personally, and now with NIL, they're all fair game for criticism just like coaches. They want to be paid, so they deserve everything (good or bad) that comes with being a business man.

After reading all of your comments I believe I will avoid reading the interview. Too early in the morning to get pissed off. Hate to have read what all you have said. I pull for all former players to do well after school and would hope they represented Clemson in a positive way. Hopefully in the end it was a whole lot about nothing as far as embarrassing the university.
