Would anyone have beaten ND last night on the road in those conditions?
We saw how poor OSU played in similar conditions against a much worse team. It took them 3 quarters to get their offense going. They are supposed to be elite.
ND is one of the few smash mouth run teams left. The wind made passing very difficult. It suited them very well. I’m just not sure there was a worse matchup last night.

Anyone who could pass the ball efficiently beats ND.

What qb would you prefer last night?
A few hours earlier in the same region CJ stroud had the worst game of his career.
No one’s passing well last night.

Are you Brandon Streeter’s mom? Stop with the excuses. Clemson didn’t just lose. They got beat like they stole something. Embarrassing loss. Just stop.

Isn’t that what it exists for?

People are welcome to offer their opinion. But I can can also respond with “just stop” with the excuses. Remember when ND fans said they lost at Clemson a few years ago because of the bad weather? And we laughed at them? This team got 99 problems and the weather ain’t one.

Stroud passed for like 76 yards yesterday. They played less than 2 hours away.
Did anyone not see that and hear about the wind gusts and then think passing was not happening?

ND scored 35 points last night. Was the weather just bad on our side?

45 mph gusts was a factor against our passing game. And we needed our passing game to win.
ND is built for the power game. Not a passing speed game. Yes, conditions favored ND. But one dude missed his block on the blocked punt - one dude. Wind was not a factor there - except perhaps in the mind of our kicker - but no real impact on that punt. Just one dude missing his block. You cab see Davis Allen talking to Ruke before the snap, and Ruke motioning to the guy on his right. Not sure what they were saying. But Ruke essentially blocked no one.

I wasn’t at the game but on the missed FG by ND

You could see the telltales on the goalposts we’re not moving, so was the wind that bad?
I just want to know why our offensive game plan was sideways passes? Especially bad was no adjustment to something else when it was clear the ND had those plays stoned.
Then , when the game is out of hand, we finally start going vertical. It was maddening.

It's bc they don't actually trust DJs decision making and had no other choice but to go downfield down 21+. Dj threw terrible balls in the first half when they did go downfield. ND did nothing exotic bc DJ can't throw a guy open, you can't beat man coverage or a defense that has switch concepts if you can't throw with anticipation. That's not a wr problem (granted they haven't been the best) the QB needing a guy WIDE open BEFORE HE THROWS the ball is an issue.

That may be true about last night, but at the WF game DJU dropped dimes into very tight windows consistently. I think he was similarly good with ncst and fsu. Maybe it was the weather, but it’s crazy how his confidence changes each week.

Those teams have serious issues at corner and play soft/off ball coverage. He can't throw with anticipation, has to be butt naked open if it's downfield.

Conditions?
You mean bringing two weeks of prepping for ND then throwing it away because it was a little breezy?
