When I die the world ends as far as I'm concerned. I think that's universal.
Ancient Hebrews didn't tolerate inaccurate prophesies. The first time a prophesy failed to occur the prophet was stoned. However, at times when they had no respect for God and therefore didn't like the prophesy they'd try to kill the prophet.
Any prophesy about times past those alive at the time was safe.

Nah. I’m amazed at how organized our world has become and how in control we are. The human species just keeps improving.
I think we are god. The highest form of life in existence.
There may be some type of natural disaster that wipes us out but it won’t be self inflicted I don’t think.
I believe we will eventually have control of the entire universe.

we have been lucky that, thus far, all of the world destroying technologies are hard to make/obtain (e.g. nuclear bombs).
What if our next discovery is more dangerous than nukes but is as simple to make as microwaving some household cleaning products?
I hope that isn't the case!

Until one goes off and we see what happens I’m skeptical nuclear bombs even exist.
The modern man seeks comfort. Blowing up the world would be good for nobody. It will never happen.
