SU turf causing too many injuries,

Nov 14, 2015, 7:25 PM

They have lost many players this year and we have a few leave the game today as well. Must be very little cushion in that field.

The field is new and far more cushion than the old one. Also have it in our new IPF. Walked on it during open house and it is quite forgiving. I think the ACC plays more ofysical brand of football than we get credit for and by season's end we all get banged up pretty good.

I'm pretty sure they just rebeaded it. Looks like the beads

were popping up after certain plays, and the turf looked thick and higher than usual, which usually happens when they rebead.

Their football tradition is as fake as their field.***

Their tradition is just fine, current state of affairs not so much.

Those rubber beads have been linked to leukemia.***

Not true.

Football players are probably safer than most because they are covered up and have mouth guards in.

Strange as it is, not sure rubber is the cause otherwise the upstate of SC would have an epidemic. We have like 8 or so Michelin plants with rubber dust and carbon-black all over the place. Retread facilities that cut the old rubber off (which is used on playgrounds) of the truck tires would be in even worst shape. Still it is a curious conundrum.

I think your field, facility, and over all entire football

Nov 15, 2015, 9:06 AM [ in reply to Re: SU turf causing too many injuries, ]

program sucks chicken ### and you don't even belong in the ACC. You certainly contribute nothing to it except the yankee TV market (which no one up there watches because it's not hockey or ice fishing).

I look forward to adding another loss to your already losing record next year.

It's ignorance like this that keeps the bs "yankee / redneck" rhetoric alive man. Take a deep breath, get a gym membership or bang on that drum set of yours a little harder tomorrow.

Geez. I was born & raised in New York, spent 6 lovely years at Clemson University & we northerners, (believe it or not), love football just as much as you! The Syracuse football program has been around since 1889 (7 years longer than us) and has produced the same amount of national championships as us! No need for posts like this whatsoever, I don't care if you're on the "ring of legends" with 80,000pts, a donor ® & a pulse of a hummingbird on cocaine. Relax!

You guys played a good game against number one team in Country and LSU, games like that will help both teams in future.

field turf, I hate it, not much more than Astro turf

Nov 15, 2015, 10:13 PM

They just yanked a natural grass system, although flawed, from here at NRG stadium for that crap.

It is thin and you can see the rubber being kicked up, not fun to breath I am sure.

If you play in the South, just go grass. Clemson has a fine, very well drained field.

Maybe I broker a deal ?
