Why is it that we go 10-3 and win the ACC but everyone rules us out as a team that shouldn't be in the CFP and is terrible. Leading up to SMU all I heard is that we were gonna get smoked, after winning all I here is that SMU is bad and played bad. Same with every other game. It's like there is nothing we can do to prove we are good except... BEAT TEXAS! I know the odds are against us but there should be no pressure. No one expects us to win next Saturday. We gotta ball out. GO TIGERS!

Not a clue, I’ve never bet on a sporting event in my life. I can tell you, the talk before hand was extremely similar to the talk before every Bama game. Clemson stood no chance……..then the game started.

Fransico.......That is all we heard BEFORE the game. And yet, AFTER...Affffffter...we beat the best team in history, like a red headed step child, to become the FIRST 15-0 team in history, WE were NEVER proclaimed as the BEST TEAM IN HISTORY.....EVEN THOUGH WE CLEARLY WERE!!!!

2018 Clemson, and 2019 LSU. Best Homegrown team, against the Best team money can buy. Now, THAT would be a game worth buying a ticket for! I truly believe Wilkins, Big Dex, and the rest of the Power Rangers would make Punchable Face Joe Burrow's life absolutely miserable. He wouldn't have had all that time to sit back and survey the field like he did against the actual 2019 version of the Clemson defense.
Oh, and remember, we didn't even HAVE Big Dex when we beat the All Time Best Football Team Named Alabama in the Natty in the 2018 season finale. I still would like to know where that Ostarine spike came from.

Listen I personally feel no 9-3 teams deserve to be in the playoffs. Only reason we get in is we won the ACC and got the automatic qualifier. SMU was our only ranked win. The outside world looks at our team and says they’ve beat no one and lost to their only legit competition outside of SMU. Stack our resume up against the rest of the field and I can see why no one thinks we deserve to be in.
Doesn’t matter though right. Win anyway. Texas is better on paper. Win anyway. We are in so that means there’s a chance.

I think in a 12 team play off you will have a 10-3 team or 9-3 team frequently if not every year.
Losses… Clemson was as good as Georgia for 3 quarters. Fell apart in the 4th.
Louisville was disappointing to say the least but I think they are as good as most any team.
SC … Clemson could have won as easily as they lost.
Who cares ? Go win the National Championship!

It's the price of going 15-0 and not being allowed to do any worse lol. I always bring up the fact that we never hit rock bottom or the .500 mark like Texas, USC, ND, OK, Mich, AU and other traditional Power Houses since winning it all. I think it all boils down to good ol 44-16, we'll never be forgiven for that beat down from all the SEC homers.

Hauser is SOOOO good that, on the missed FG, he recognized that the blocking / protection in the left side had collapsed; he adjusted by kicking the ball to the right so that it wouldn’t get blocked and returned by SMU for a TD.
That’s my story and I like it.

People always seem prone to overlook us or want to. We did go 10-3 but didn't beat any great teams. Also looking fine for a half and then stalling out is not a way to impress people. It cost us the USC game. Then there was the Louisville game which was just poor play.
We can be fine if we focus and play a full game. I'd like more some production in the running game other than Cade.

Are the coaches beyond critcism? No. Perfect? No.
Are we better off than I would have ever thought we'd be? Yes.
I've seen every game with the poultry since 1971. Before that I saw the one on Thanksgiving Day after President Kennedy's assassination. Is it acceptable to lose to the poultry? No. By the same token I have been blessed during all the games I have witnessedto see the chickens win less than 1/3 of the games. And guess what, the "tech" or "ag" school winning more games than the richer so called "university of" is almost unheard of. VPI and UVA are about the only other rivalry for which that applies.
Add to that they copped an invitation to the SEC to be a perenial SEC doormat. They are good from time to time, but they generally live up to the billing. They've been in more than three decades, plenty of chances to show they'd catch up. We still win way more.
I got to see Homer and Fridge and the guys win it all in Miami, when of course we were underdogs. Through it all we have had ups and downs, but were typically better than most. Plus two additional national championships, four playoff games, a dozen conference championships, and one more this year. That we are unlikely to win out seems to mean we need to fire people.
Let's be careful. Whenever we lose there is a reason, but it is harder to win at this level than we think. If we start calling for people's heads because merely winning the conference championship does not suit us, we may be buying a ticket to winning a good bit less.

Most of the blather originates out of Columbia out of jealosy, envy, whatever. Typically, it's, "If you had to play in the SEC, you wouldn't even be .500. That garbage coming from a program that hasn't contributed a dammm thing to SEC football in all their years of membership. Neither did they when a member of the ACC, for God's sake.
And the media? Monkey see, monkey do. If one comes up with some smart-assssed comment, the rest follow suit, largely because the true journalists in that profession are few and far between. Douchebags is a better description.
Now, understand this, my Friend: there are schools, large and small, across this nation that would kiss the Devil's asssss to have Clemson's pedigree, and that includes most every program in the SEC and B1G...including the Great Imposter known as the University of South Cockylina!

if you just look at the record then you get a different feel than if you watched the games.
Until SMU, Clemson had lost or really struggled with any team with a pulse (Georgia, Louisville, VT, Pitt) that they played.
Even with SMU, we were up big and had to get a last second FG for the win.
So, overall they likely see an offense that runs hot and cold and a defense that's off a step from previous years and think Texas is likely to roll us.
Can't say I disagree, though I certainly HOPE they found/find something to pull it together. A win against Texas would be amazing.

There is definetly a commomn disdain for Clemson Football across the board among most prognisticators
across the US, as evidenced by them being underdogs in all 3 Natty matchups. Miracles happen though, as it did in the previous games. An upset over Texas would shock everyone, just like Mich. over Ohio State.
Texas should be favored, but it doesn't mean they'll win. It certainly will take a miraculous event for the Tigers defense to shut down Texas,something they haven't done in several games this year. It would also take a miracle for Clemson's offense to shine for 30-plus points in the game with the uncertainty
of BOTH Coordinators looming. Can it happen? It can! Keep HOPE alive, but also be realistic.
