If you had just relied on reading the posts over the last 24 hours, you would think that this team is 1-11 instead of 9-3. We have the opportunity to clinch a playoff spot and another ACC title.
Yes, losing sucks. Yes, losing to South Carolina stings even more. However, Clemson is essentially playing with house money at this point. If you would rather whine and cry because we didn’t have a perfect season, maybe you oughta download NCAA football and hit the restart button every time something doesn’t go your way.

I understand your point and realize that some of the concerns that are being expressed are completely valid. However, it seems as though only a minority of posters are actually excited that we have another golden opportunity in front of us. Expectations shift over time, especially with sustained success. IMO though, a conference championship bid will always be something to celebrate.

I'm very excited...I've been to every one except the covid year. Charlotte is always a blast, and we stayed at the Westin where the team stayed last time which was cool.

I always love seeing Clemson FB against quality opponents.
We’ve had a rich history of beating higher regarded teams in big games. Even during seasons when our team didn’t show much promise for most if a season.
We don’t stink. We can beat SMU if our skill players don’t get the yips and if our LBs (and nickel back) stay in their lanes / maintain gap integrity.
SMU’s QB Kevin Jennings is an excellent scrambler and an accomplished passer. Jennings is a legitimate dual threat QB. IMO, he’s better than UGA QB Carson Beck as far as a college QB. (Beck is probably a better NFL prospect than Jennings will eventually be.). Jenn8ngs, IMO, is far better than S.Carolina’s QB LaNorris Sellers.
(If our D plays with its typical undisciplined gap integrity, then we’ll be crushed like a trailer park in a tornado.)

Sure. It's nice to have another game that matters. We should appreciate all we can get this year. The season is almost over. Yeah, I am looking forward to it.
