The thing I appreciate most from this team

Is Brownell coaching with a lot of energy every single game. In previous years, CBB would not move around very much during games and occasionally would have a look on his face saying there were 100 other places he’d rather be.
I personally didn’t care for his lack of excitement, but tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. Mainly because Clemson isn’t exactly a basketball school and it has to be tough to be in the shadow of Dabo and this football program. But all in all I think Brad has handled that roll okay.
I’m glad he has a team that’s exciting for him to coach. His players seem very bought in this year as well. I also wonder if someone had a talk with him regarding his demeanor, and maybe gave him a little perspective on how lucky he is to be a Tiger.
Great to see everyone bought in to hoops this year.

You bring up some good points. I see a much, much better prepared to play team take the court than in the past. These guys just seem to have a focus that past teams lacked. I’ve yet to see anyone get rattled when things go bad. I guess confidence is what we see. Agree.?

A well coached team that has true leadership on the court. I love the hard work from the three seniors.

I think it’s good that we have more ‘4 year Clemson guys’....

On this team. Honor & Baehre are transfers, but they both have been in the system a while now. Everyone else was recruited to come to Clemson and it looks like there is a strong collective buy-in. I will always appreciate the team that made the sweet 16 and was ‘transfer heavy’...but we are in a much better position currently.

Absolutely. I love where the program is right now, and I think that’s why Brad looks to have a little bit more fire in his belly than he previously did.

Maybe CBB hates wearing suits. Maybe this new era of coaches in polos or warmup jackets is more his style.

The criticism of him lacking in energy/personality

is a bit unfair in my opinion. I'm not sure what "moving around" is supposed to accomplish, but it certainly doesn't have anything to do with one's ability to teach, coach, and be present during the game.
He has always been very involved in the game. Sometimes he sits, sometimes he stands, and sometimes he kneels. He is always communicating with his players, which is something you can appreciate even more this year since you can hear him shouting instructions throughout the game. He loves what he does, and I think that's obvious.
Granted, he isn't Dabo, but not many people are. That's okay. He should be Brad. I think that's working out quite well for him.
With that said, I agree with you that he does seem to be enjoying this year even more. I think he's thrilled to have the talent and depth we have, allowing us to pressure more on defense and also play more up-tempo on offense. For all the criticism he received in the past about having a "boring" style of play, it is obvious to me that he did that simply to maximize the personnel he was working with to give our team the best chance to win against what was (usually) a more talented opponent.
