Maybe to prove a point and then lead the ncaa or whatever governing body to make some big changes in the way college football is headed.

I have said it for about two years, Dabo and his moral compass were on a collision course with what the collegiate game was becoming. He can say he will go somewhere else and win and that may be true but it will not be at a power 4 soon to be super conference school. The game and his moral's dont match the system required to win. Pay for play and NIL have absolutely ruined the game I used to love to watch each Saturday. If Dabo loves Clemson as much as he says he does he will resign someday, dont know if it is in the near future but he is slowly realizing he can't do it his way anymore.

And im sure he has belief in himself to go make money in another way or at another place.
Maybe he sees this as an opportunity to reset. Maybe he realizes that the college game is unrecognizable to what it once was.
The pressure from the fans is going to get crazy if he loses to South Carolina and FSU (not even going to mention Furman, but it wouldn't surprise me if that game is closer than we think it should be). Im not so sure he wants to deal with all that is associated with that when push comes to shove. He is too proud of a guy to continue with the tour of past successes at some point you would have to think.

I will not be surprised if sometime in early December he decides to step aside, maybe assume a different role. I want him to stay & get the program going again, but he’s not enjoying himself. He hates the new state of college football, and I don’t think his heart is in it anymore. I would love for him to stay bc I would not want him to leave with the program in trouble. I just don’t know if he has the fire. The salary argument is not an issue with Dabo.
