help me understand how we got "outcoached"?
We had 45 rushes and 55 passes. Outstanding balance.
484 total yards to their 375.
320 passing yards to their 251.
164 rushing yds to their 124.
34 first downs to their 21.
7 of 19 on 3rd down conversions to their 3 of 13.
36:23 time of possession to their 23:37.
The offense moved the ball up and down the field. Missed 3 FGs. The defense held a fast-paced, dominating offense to 375 yards.
Someone please explain how, "our coaching cost us the game".

I may be stepping out on a limb here, but I would imagine it has something to do with not scoring. I have heard you have to score more than your opponent to win?

Easy, after we run it successfully down the field... continue to do that instead of getting cute.
Kick the easy field goal instead of running your Son up the middle.
Let Cade get more comfortable with a lot more run support and some easier throws.

Momentum killing play calls at exactly the perfect time to prevent capitalizing on the previous successes.

I must admit, the stats compared to the score is baffling, but 3 missed fgs and a missed fake really messed up our perceived competence.

Obviously the missed FGs were not because of coaching.

Haven't quite figured out what happened during those 10 of the first 11 possessions where we moved deep into their territory, but it wasn't playcalling that cost us. I think about half of our hundred plays were run on their side of the field, and we found several ways to foul things up. 100 plays is the most we've ever run in a game.
It just doesn't compute.

The blitzes they ran were super basic, but no one picked them up and Cade was left running for his life or being sacked.
It’s that simple.

The playcalling was questionable still! Then the personnel in some cases was questionable. Mafah was averaging 2yds a carry more than Shipley but Mafah didn't play in the second half especially when tough yards were needed. But overall our OL played like crap!

Spiller should get on the headset or go to Dabo and say 26 is hot or 1 is hot…ride him. This doesn’t seem to be happening.
Streeter has a tendency to get cute (might be Dabo overriding).
On defense BV would send ‘EVERYTHING’ until the ammunition bag was empty.

Their bend don’t break defense worked perfectly against us
They stunted and twisted all game and we were absolutely helpless. Why are we so terrible at passing those off on the OL? Mafah had an amazing pickup on one play but other than that our blocking was #### poor
How many 50/50 balls did we win? I barely remember any.
The end of the drive before the half? Whoof.
And the most egregious error was the absolutely moronic move to send out the punt return unit when Tennessee was about to go for it! How do you not see that? As many millions as the cocking staff makes and they aren’t even paying attention in the second half of a game down 14.
But I’m sure you have a lot of great scheme related answers for how we outcoached them?

Our run/pass ratio after we crossed the 50 was not so balanced.
And that’s how you stall drives. Pass on 1st down. Get behind the chains and into 3rd and long.
And streeter is clueless - “no common theme” - bs!

It's called no offensive play calling creativity inside the 30. Also, when your defense gives up 3 TDs with all drives under 1:27 seconds you have a scheme issue. OL is God awful. It' amazing Cade even finished the game.
