Well if he's right it means that has been the case up until now which would prove them 100% correct. If we suddenly become flush with cash and the status quo remains then pretending we're still broke would obviously be incorrect.

The main issue isn't NIL spending, it is the fact that we don't use it as a main tool for recruiting high school or portal players. Our NIL is spent on retaining players on the roster.

And I believe that's a pretty good way of doing it. Pay for a proven product. But it seems like now, we'd better start getting them in the door.

Maybe he is. Who knows what he does with his money. I know once he took a pretty good cut in pay, for his assistants. And I'm not trying to start an argument, but I see a lot of people beating him up about what he makes, and probably only his accountant knows for sure what he does with it.

I'll believe it when i see it. Hard to believe we'd be able to put together NIL deals to dwarf the thirty million a year some teams are paying already and we all know Dabos prone to hyperbole anyway.

He believes that revenue sharing coupled with this new IPTAY points for donating to NIL is gonna give us a leg up. From what I have read, we are going to commit to the full cap on revenue sharing. We are also going to allocate a much higher percentage for football than most other universities. Probably 80-90% for football. With the remainder going to men's basketball and baseball. I also sense that Dabo is finally coming around to the portal as well.
