question about 3rd base. Is Green the only player we can use over there? He is almost an automatic out at the plate. He backs away from strikes, and misses a lot of pitches. I love the arm, and he is batting 9th, so maybe his D more than outweighs his strikeouts. I just remember seeing a couple of other guys over there, so I wasn't sure if their D was just too bad for that position. THAT is a tough position IMO. Monte Lee never seems to show any emotion about his play though, so probably it's okay and I just don't understand.

His on base % is above .400 isn't it? That's pretty good for the 9 hole.

Bigger question, can nobody else on campus field at SS?

Almost everyone we've tried at 3rd has struggled at the plate. Greene has the best batting average of everyone we've worked at 3rd and his on base percentage is actually 3rd on the entire team.

I guess I missed it. It just seemed like he strikes out a lot. Maybe I'm just noticing the bad stuff. :) My bad.

All I know this time of the year ,2-3 errors a game will kill you.
We got away with it during the ACC tournament but it's going to bite us if it keeps up.
