The service to say goodbye to our President Jimmy

was very honorable & also the family speakers informed us of his known & many unknown humanitarian service for mankind across the world..all from an honorable, humble & decent American man from Georgia.
And, before he was carried from the church service in Washington an appropriate song was performed by Garth Brooks & Trisha Yeargood called “Imagine”.
Yes, imagine that a man from Plains could affect the World as much as he did with lots of good along with some bad, as is human.
R.I.P. Jimmy~

Agree RAT. The service was very moving and what really makes a person a good President is his life not the 4 years in office.

Like all the things told to you by the lying liars in the Media, this is a myth.
The same people that swore up and down that Joe Biden is as sharp as a tack, in command at Cabinet meetings, and hard to keep up with because he's so high energy - - and anyone saying otherwise is spreading dangerous misinformation and must be censored. Yeah, those guys.

everyone volunteers and usually in anonymity. After 50 years Carter could never humble himself to say what a mess he made and supported that mess and others. Tell me what he's ever said that has been good.

What's funny is how often we were screamed at that Trump is a fascist, literally Hitler, and going to destroy our Sacred Democracy. Yet, there they were, bragging about how they conducted a "peaceful transition of power (unlike some people)" with a smile on Monday. To LITERALLY HITLER!!!!!
Why, it's almost as if all their yelling and screaming were just lies - hoping to influence the election. Weird.

All perception. Not that I think he was great, but president are judged by how they impact your family personally. So it really depends on your own personal situation. Many different things to judge a president by. My thoughts on he and Biden are that regardless of view points these 2 (and many others) have spent their entire adult lives in public service. There are people tbat won't volunteer or work to feed homeless people in their own communities. Just my take.

As a former Republican, as you claim to be, you must have drank the liberal media's kool aid. You remind me of a high school friend of mine that I had not seen since high school, over 65 years. I was sitting in the Beacon having lunch this past summer and she walks in, neither of us recognized each other. I had on a Trump MAGA hat and she makes the statement to me, "Oh, no you aren't a Trumper are you, how can you vote for a Rapist? I can't vote for a Rapist, Bill Clinton or Joe Biden isn't running, the election is between Trump and Harris. About this time I realize, "I know who she Is", because I did recognize her Husband. So I say, "How can you sleep at night with a Registered Sex Offender?" Talking about ending a liberal moron's conversation!!!

Carter secretly supported the genocidal Pol Pot government ousted by Vietnam in 1979. This secret support was essential to further punishment of Vietnam for having successfully defended her own population against the American invaders. US Indochina strategy also intended to outflank the Vietnamese, who were aligned with the Soviet Union, and to back the Pol Pot forces, aligned with China.
Carter declared his support for the Shah of Iran-despite the rampant torture practiced by the Shah's secret police in close collaboration with the C.I.A.-more emphatically than Richard Nixon had: "There is no leader with whom I have a deeper sense of personal friendship and gratitude."
Following the Indonesians' 1975 invasion of East Timor, Carter continued to arm Indonesia's army dictatorship as well as give diplomatic support (vetoing U.N. resolutions to end the atrocities in the former Portuguese colony). This war has killed more than 200,000 East Timorese, making it the worst genocide relative to population since World War II. Carter did nothing to pressure General Suharto (Indonesia's chief of state) to end the war. He was an ally and major supporter of the Indonesian military's repression of its own population, as well as the slaughter of the East Timorese people. The army's murderous stranglehold on East Timor will continue as long as the ruling military clique of Indonesia lets transnational oil companies have a good share of East Timorese oil profits.
During his watch, Carter aided and supported Nicaragua's then-dictator Anastasio Somoza, who murdered and repressed tens of thousands of his own people. When Somoza's forces were about to lose control of the main cities, Carter attempted to launch an invasion under the fig leaf of an intervention by the Organization of American States (OAS). The OAS refused and Carter then planned to send the US military to salvage Somoza's army, which was established by and beholden to the US government-but it was too late. Carter made sure that Somoza was ferried out of the country on a Red Cross-painted US aircraft. The C.I.A. under Carter helped to re-establish Somoza's army as a terrorist force against the people of Nicaragua. These "contras" assassinated social workers, doctors and civilians, burned crops, and tried to exterminate any possibility of social reform that the Sandinistas created.

to bring them to their knees, taking Greenland and the Panama Canal by force if desired, all very much confirm that he definitely wants to act like a dictator. I don't think he has the ruthlessness needed to carry out these things, nor will congress and citizens ultimately back it, but the evidence is clear that he wants to play in that cesspool. I dont even know why there's really any disagreement on that.

like it or not. But I guess what you're asking is that IF he were to bring Canada to it's knees, militarily take the Panama Canal and Greenland, but I personally made more money from it, would I be happy? I'd give up the money if it stopped it.
Also, I have had some awesome financial years under Obama, Trump and Biden. I can't draw a straight line benefit to them in the cases, other than Trump's vaccine and Biden's spending to a certain degree kept the economy from collapsing.

Man if you do not understand what he is doing or why he is saying all of this then you may be a little slow.
Read between the lines. He is a #### of a lot smarter than you libs believe. Tried to kill him and put him jail to no avail. #### the sham trial going on now and they cannot honestly tell you what they are even prosecuting. Liberals play Americans for fools. People in Greenland are hoping to align with the U.S. It would surely be better than being part of Denmark. It would probably be the best thing ever to happen to Greenland. Carter sold the Panama Canal to Panama for $1.00. China now controls it, so we do need to take control of it for national security. Let the Canadians vote to see if they want to part of the USA. It is called Democracy.

what these guys can convince themself of to support "their guy"
We now have people claiming that schools like Clemson and South Carolina can't produce competent engineers and computer science guys to justify the H1B program just because Musk came out in support of it.
Imagine being a fan of a college football team and arguing that school isn't good enough to justify political pandering.

People were sick of Watergate and were happy Nixon was gone. Unemployment was high at 7.5% and was just as high when he left. Inflation was at 5.7% and hit 13.5% in 1980. Gas prices doubled and there were long lines at the pumps. He actually stated in his "Malaise speech" that "For the first time in the history of our country a majority of our people believe that the next five years will be worse than the past five years.” Then he spend the next 40 years flying all over the globe trying to f - up American diplomacy. Egotistic and self-delusional doesn't begin to describe Carter. Then there was his dumb a$$ brother and "Billy Beer".

A true turd in the punch bowl. I was alie during his tenure but thankfully not old enough to remember it. Terrible president, a hypocrite as a Christian, and a socialist to boot.
Good riddance. Hey Jimmy when you get locked out of the Pearlies, ask ole Peter to send you some company. Tell him you want Nancy, Joe, Barry, Chuckle, Maxine, Mitch, Jamie, Ralphie boy, Kammie, Liz, amd a few more. Maybe all that hot air they've been blowing can amp up them flames a tad.

You forgot to include Fani,Letitia, and Alvin. Trump2024 Vance2028

What was most interesting was the conversation going on between Obama and Trump sitting next to one another. They were both leaning towards each other chatting for quite some time. Would have been interesting to be a fly on the wall listening to that. The interaction between Presidents is the most interesting thing at those events.

For those wondering about my TDs the man was a former president of the United States. You may not agree with what he did during or after but now is not the time to spout hatred. Respect the man for being president and move on.

Good afternoon, I’m probably going to get jumped on but I have to ask. Is this the board where we discuss CU Athletics?
