I loved Boulware as a player

But we need a linebacker coach. That group is key in not only defensive execution but in overall team attitude and personality. Ben’s a good guy and Clemson icon, but not an experienced coach. I thought st minimum his history would bring the intensity to the team, but it hasn’t happened.

I was never sold on him as a coach.
Too much of a meathead and not that smart.

He did bring the intensity but this current crowd doesn’t seem to respond to it.

What is it with this idea from Dabo that just bc you were a decent player at Clemson you can be also be a successful coach?

dabo hires like he's running a lemonade stand in his neighborhood

I think Dabo has modeled after Coach K at Duke, and that having former great players on the coaching staff would transmit a winning culture.

I thought Boulware would be a good hire, but it hasn't shown so far.

I dont blame Ben. I blame Dabo for hiring him

Tajh, CJ Spiller, and the rest of the former players holding key positions on this football staff. The fact that he was allowed to do this unquestioned is more troubling than anything.

Not gonna lie, it’s a little bit satisfying seeing *HIS* linebackers being taken behind the woodshed nearly every snap after a couple years of him heavily bashing the defense, particularly the LB group, and calling them pathetic and weak. (some of it was warranted) He looks somewhat like an idiot now. Maybe he should go back to running his Zumba studio.

and Ben as coach. With those resources they are definitely underachieving.

Yeah - I think a challenge of the influx of money and recent rule changes is managing the seemingly ever increasing number of coaches & support staff. If you want the guys to be around champions and have mentors, great...all for it. When it comes to technique, scheme, and in-game adjustments, there needs to be consistency. I imagine that's difficult to achieve as you allow more and more individuals to serve as on field coaches.
