I would like to see this become an official thing that is done every year. As Dabo has said many times, it's the only ranking that should count ... performance vs. potential.

We all know the Tigers have been recruiting quality players every year. But I can't believe now 4 years after the fact, someone has fired a shot (Tigers NC) and this guy is drawing the bullseye around the bullet hole.

As I say on here almost daily, those smart folks that do all the talking, they're not so smart if you hear what they are saying!!! Most of them know less than our average fans that really don't know much about the Sport that the smart folks are talking about, and after they have listen to the smart folks, they know even less!!!

The re-ranking is the only endeavor that has legitimacy.

Sure it’s largely 20/20 hindsight, but it helps to clarify who is actually doing a great job getting the players they need to win and that can only be accurately ascertained four years later.
I love seeing our coaching staff getting the credit they deserve even if it’s in hindsight.

It just goes to show how the recruiting rankings don't mean anything because the coaches don't have the guys yet. Once Dabo and his staff get their hands on a guy, they prove that another star could have been added (or three, in Renfrow's case).
I'll admit to getting caught up in class rankings and recruit ratings at times, and even that I couldn't help but frown a bit at our low average recruit score on Rivals. But then I remember: these are the guys that Dabo wanted. That means everything, and stars mean nothing. The 2022 version of this article will rank these guys the REAL #1 class of 2019.

I've been on here saying it day 1. The people who "phreak out" over our so called, "low class ranking" really need to look back on a where are they now video or article. A bunch of 5 star guys never make it(and guess what folks there are only about 15- 18 of those every year out of thousands of H.S. players! So, so called "settling" for a 4 star kid is nothing to shake your head at.
But, many a can't miss prospect have gone on to college and not even started. You can look it up and get the stats! I have.
I tend to bring up the run Boise St. and Oregon had with classes that were not even top 20 let alone top 10. No, neither won it all, Boise couldn't play for it though. But, nobody wanted to play them when they were rolling. They both had a system of player development they believed in and "IT WORKED WELL"! They just didn't have enough to win it all! But, they won a boat load of games along the way.
Relax doubters! The players we RS last year and a few of the Freshmen this year are going to be really good players by the time they are done at Clemson! Bank on it!
