Clemson has been vetted by the BIG and passed the test. As soon as we are free from the ACC, we are a shoo in. The BIG only has 2 FB team's worth a chit. Michigan and OSU and OHIO STATE runs the conference. They desperately need and want a couple more teams to be legitimate CFP bound to give them 4 legit teams in CFP every year. They also need a foothold in the South to get some of that great FB talent in GA. and Fl.
So, a few months ago, the BIG sent the decision maker of who to add to conference in FB to Clemson to vett Clemson and report back.
That person from the BIG was the Ohio State FB coach. I won't use his name, but he came under the pretense of his son wanting to check out Clemson as a possible place to ply his FB QB Skills. Was Clemson recruiting this kid? No, we were recruiting the BIG. So, they took their official on campus visit to check us out.
And I would say, we are on their list of 3 schools....Clemson, FSU, AND ND.
AND TO MY KNOWLEDGE, we are the only school they have visited.
They chose the perfect deniability ruse for tampering. A father accompany's his son who wants to check out Clemson as a possible place to play FB.
WELL PLAYED BY BOTH SIDES. AND WE ALL WONDERED WHY DABO WOULD BE SHOWING THE ENEMY OUR FACILITY. I SUSPECT THEY WERE SHOWN MORE THAN JUST THE FACILITIES.
WINK, WINK, NOD NOD.
PASS THE TIN FOIL. MY STOCK NEEDS A LITTLE MORE BOOST.

I was in until you said Ohio St runs the conference. I cite Michigans record. Every aspect of their record is better than the tree nuts. The tree nuts haven’t won a national championship since urban Meyer cheated his way into one around a decade ago. Michigan bests Ohio state in every metric. Every stat.
The B1G sucks. It’s isn’t as great as they claim. The SEC isn’t as great as claimed. Facts are the PAC12 has more combined national championships than any other conference. It’s not even close. The sec has one school in the top 10. Michigan and Ohio state are the only B1G teams in the top 10. The big 12 has more combined than the B1G.
ESPN controls the narrative. All their eggs are in the sec basket. They push a false narrative and so many of you have believed it. The ACC has a higher percentage of combined (90 per year) national championships than the supposedly great sec. Keep drinking the kool aid.

So, you want Clemson in the BIG 12. Absent Texas and Oklahoma, who are now in the SEC, who are all of these powerhouse NATIONAL FB CHAMPIONS in the BIG 12?
IF you are going to count the Texas, Oklahoma Natties as BIG 12, you now have to count them as SEC. So, that puts the SEC on top.
And Ohio State runs the BIG. ALWAYS HAS.
CLEMSON in the BIG 12 is no better than Clemson in the ACC.

I guess it’s as good as any other tinfoil thought. I’m not sure why they’d send a football coach to do that kind of assessment though.

Wow, you don't even know who is in the Big10 do you? If you don't think Oregon, Washington, UCLA, SC, Minnesota, Wisconsin and Penn State are good enough to play anyone, you may as well be on Mars.

Penn State is good in football and so is Washington and Oregon. The Ducks are buying every player with Nike money right now. I also have a feeling Nebraska will be back with Ruhl. He sucked in the NFL, but he’s been a game changer in college and he just signed the top QB in the country right out from under Georgia. Also, Wisconsin slipped of late, but they’ve adapted
