I lived in Johnstone.

I showered with 4 other dudes daily, and had no stall doors on the toilets.
Now there's a building worth complaining about.

You were lucky.you could have been in the Army showering with up to 6 dudes and using the toilet with no partition between you and the rest.

What a horrible experience. Next semester I moved to "New F." Still no air conditioning but felt like I had moved into the Hilton. Any of you 1960's guys remember?

D418 for two years, 1987-1989. We had an awesome hall. Enjoyed the heck out of it. Took a few days to get use to taking showers with no stalls and craps with no curtains. After a while, I was comfortable walking down the hall to the bathroom naked.

Five toilets, flush the four outer toilets at once and the water would flood in the middle one. Only had to sit there once.

most of us didn't complain because we didn't have it at home.
We thought going to class with smelly armpits and sweaty brows was the norm. Nevermind the fact that half of our hallmates had seen us on the crappers, while the other half had seen us in the showers. lol

A9 in 1969. Shower with other guys. Just a row of toilets. No air. But for a freshman just away from home for the first time, it was great. Clemson was great.

the list of bad things about it far outnumbers the good, yet I would not trade the two years I lived there for love or money.
