Games like this have me very concerned about recruiting, both getting commitments and hanging on to them. If you are going to stand out and be different from the crowd, then you better stand out in performance and results as well. If not, the better talent, who is less focused on becoming good men, and more focused on getting to the next level, have better options.

I have always admired our culture and it served us well in recruiting when everyone could only offer scholarships and had to sell their programs on their best intangibles. In that scenario, we excelled.

But that isn't the scenario anymore. Totally different environment now, requiring a totally different approach to recruiting, and holding on to recruits, and keeping players in the program once they join.

I want Dabo's way to continue to work but I just don't think we can excel on the field without making changes. We can still be a good program, that builds strong men and high graduation rates, but we have to modify what we do in recruiting and retention if we want to remain an elite program on the field.

Last night was our biggest game for the 2026 class. And given our 2024 and 2025 class rankings, we desperately need an elite 2026 class.

Last night was a step in the wrong direction.

I still can't get my head around how we could look that bad after having 2 weeks to prepare and get people healthy.

We aren’t prepared after bye weeks. Haven’t been in several years now.

The problem is it’s not just one game. It’s a culmination of a program that has been on the decline for the past few years. These ugly losses just remind everyone of that.

Spoiled fans that expect a school as small as ours to stay on top forever. We won when we did due to us playing out of our minds and having great coaches. The same #### happened to Saban after he lost coaches. Only thing that kept him a float was he’s won 7. Dabo is way behind in that category and kids are flocking to money as that’s the way of the world now. Clemson either needs to pony up or we won’t see the last of these 5 -7 year vets of college football. We can stay in our lane but yall better curb your expectations when we only deal with HS school kids only.
