He probably looked at Cade and Vizzina and decided OSU would be better since they just lost Stroud to the NFL.

I dont know what to make of Noland. He had his commitment date set way before the visit to Ohio State. The timing of the article seems to suggest he chooses Ohio State. Unless, he already made up his mind before his visit to Ohio State. Either way, long, long time to go before his recruitment is officially over. Also, he is a lefty. I dont know why - but that scares me.

I dont know about NIL. I wonder if anyone does it 100% by the book. I do know there have been very lucrative and legitimate NIL deals for Ohio QBs and WRs. After last year, when the Buckeyes lost several highly ranked recruits to NIL bidding wars, I stopped caring about it as much. If everyone else is cheating, sometimes you have to also just to survive.

There is no book only guidelines and no agency or procedure established for investigating the hypothetical infractions and none established for pronouncing judgement/imposing sentence for said hypothetical infractions that have yet to be acknowledged and confirmed as punishable violations. No punishment without law—

… the two highly regarded incumbent QBs already on campus and believe they can take the job.
We need a guy like Trevor Lawrence who feels he’s good enough to come in and take the job right away regardless of who is already on campus.
If that’s Air Noland, then great. If he’s that type of talent with that degree of confidence, then please pursue him hard.
But, if not, then don’t waste time trying to sign sign a kid who comes in already intimidated by the QBs here now. He won’t be happy, and he won’t last.

OSU has enough cash laying around to pay their third string QB more than most schools. Same with WRs and RBs.

I'm not worried about QB position the next few years. Mainly worried about WR and DE. Also DB's to a slightly lesser extent. We also will need RB and LB's for post Shipley and Carter/Trotter. Not worried about DT at all.
