I think we have 4 good, maybe very good QBs; probably better than most of the teams we'll play. Still, I'm not very confident that we'll have anybody that can carry the team and will us to victory like DW could, nor do I see anybody that can make the downfield throws with the same consistency, and I think that will hurt us. Having said that, we have a few guys with a lot of upside, and it's very possible that one of them will develop and become that kind of player. Only time will tell.

I agree that we will miss Watson. I'm confident in our coaches though. I think we still win 10 games.

KB is going to put up LJ stats. That is if Cooper does not take his job. I'm guessing KB starts against Kent St and we will know more after that game. How he does against Auburn will let us know how the season will go. I think we go atleast 10-2 but I think a one L season or maybe unbeaten is possible. No they are not DW but they can win with this talent around them. I'm excited for fall!

Problem is I have eyes and I am a show me person don't tell me. Our quarterbacks look average and no receiver stood out like in past spring games. That is facts but I know our D is very good but look what out Offense did last year with Bama. I hope for the best but TL probably be a starter next year unless the OB's improve. This is not alternative facts.

It is hard for me to gauge the performance of the WRs. I agree with the writer that the playcalling was very vanilla. I'd like to see Johnson after summer camp when he gets double the experience that he has now. His and TL's position battle will be great next year.

Our offense didn't look like works beaters at the start of the season last year WITH Watson and Williams.
I fully expect our offense to find a rhythm midway through the season.....
AS LONG AS....
we settle on a QB by the 3rd game.
Our opening season offense wouldn't have beat that BAMA team in the NCG.... we had to develop..... even last year.

I completely agree. It is all about getting hot at the right time. Last year, we were hot at the right time. Being hot in the spring game is not very important.

Yep people were saying DW was garbage at the start of last year so I say whoever starts we give a chance. One of them has to be a winner we just have to find out soon. Hopefully it is KB but if not Johnson or Cooper can get it done.

QB ain't the position to worry about. I was high on Hunter after watching the game live but after rewatching it on TV I'm thinking Zerrick Cooper.
He threw some nice balls on the TD drive in the 4th quarter.

for sure. They all brink different things to the table, and each have things to work on to improve their standing. I think (hope!) that of of them makes a move this fall and the starter is clear. It will still take time for that person to get comfortable. We have the defense and the other offensive positions to allow that learning to happen. It will certainly be exciting to see how the first 5 games go. If we get out of Blacksburg with a good record (hopefully including a Louisville win), it could come down to the FSU game again for the division. Certainly should be a great year!
