But can we please stop blaming it all on Brad for this lose! our players shoot 1/15 first half 3s with 13 points total!! I think 12+ of the 3s were open looks. A coach can only do so much when the team isn’t hitting shots and effort level is at 0 compared to opponent's. There are some things brad could have done different but at the end of the day if our players hit 2 more shots in the first half we win. 13 first half points is a middle school or church league score. Comes down to the players have to make the shots and not turn it over so much first half. Coach K could have been out there but with shooting nothing he could have done either.

I’m no coach but after missing the first 4 or 5 3’s I would let it be known to not attempt any more 3’s . Once the score got more manageable then let’s see if the shooting got better .

Every time we went into the paint first half they knocked the ball out of our guys hands. They wanted it more and that also falls on the players I’m sorry

I get Brad has to get them ready but at some point with so much veteran players you got to let go of their hand and they have to want it too.

Shooters shoot. That’s the game. Should they have worked it inside a lot more, yes, but you could tell Ian wasn’t all there. I believe his back is a real problem at the moment.

I am blaming Brad for not making adjustments, as well for having a flat team.

Got to get our heads out the sand like I said this was a team full of seniors that have played a lot of ball. At some point they just got to play better. He can’t make the 3s go in or give them effort on the defensive rebounds or getting the ball knocked out on every drive or paint attempt. The players got to play idc if you got the best game plan in history if the effort not there and shots not falling you goin to lose 99% of time!

So Brad doesn't have the chutzpah to get in his veteran's/seniors faces and rip them a new one midway through the first half? Challenging them and asking if this is really the way they want to end their careers here and the legacy for this top regular season they produced, becaused that little inferior team out there is wiping the floor with their butts? Brad gets paid the big bucks to coach, have his team ready, and when they're not ready light a #### fire under their #####.
Upsets happen. 13 points from a Top 12 team in an entire half in a win or go home game in the spotlight does not. Ever.

The coach is responsible for preparing them to play. I’d say they weren’t prepared. The Brad said they weren’t…what don’t you get? When a coach loses its on him. Coach K NEVER had a 13pt half against a mid major…

I get at the end of the day it’s falls on Brad but that doesn’t mean it’s all his fault. Like the players didn’t realize they were in a NCAA tournament game? Brad had to keep reminding them or something. When you got 4 senior starters I mean at some point they have to hit their shots and play smart ball. Turnovers like back court and ball just getting knocked out or lazy passes is effort.

Exactly it just was a bad game all around. Like I get Brad the coach and it falls on him but like I said that doesn’t mean it’s all his fault like ppl tryin to say. No one wants to admit our players played like they didn’t want it the effort was not there wish it was.

Just recycling the excuses...since they can apply to pretty much every one of these embarrassing losses piled up under CBB.
Brownell on blowout lose to BC in 2024 ACCT (yet another one-and-done): "Thoroughly outplayed us...We just weren't quite ready. Ultimately that's on me. I don't really understand it. I thought we were. But we looked a half step slow and lacked urgency, and then I thought when we got behind, that's probably not great for us. We haven't been behind a lot this year, and we probably panicked a little bit, and we had a hard time."

Brad Brownell is still the best coach Clemson has ever had and that's a fact. I expect big things going forward as the coach has mastered the art of portal recruiting.

Clemson had a veteran team and HUGE height advantage, but completely failed to take advantage of it, and THAT IS ENTIRELY ON CBB.

How is their effort on the offensive glass and letting them get 2nd chance points on brad? That’s one chef and Lahkin who had massive height advantages. It was the effort they put in compared to mcneese. Some of that is on Brad but a lot of it is on the players too. That’s all I’m sayin, Brad gets some blame but not all of it like ppl are framing it. Just my opinion. Not goin to change anything so oh well. Go Tigers let’s go baseball

8 points in 12 minutes. That's like girls fifth grader bad. And you can't make an adjustment. If it's the players take them out. No excuse for that. You cannot defend 8 points in 12 minutes at this level without making any significant changes. Atrocious.

Wiggins. You can bring up that he's 6-10 but he has always played like he's 6-5. How many games this year has he had multiple blocks or over 5 rebounds being 6-10? That was not gonna change in this game.
The rest of our starters that play pretty much the whole game are a mix of JZ, Chase, Dell, and Heidbrieder. Those guys were smaller than the guys that were guarding them. The difference is they weren't hitting shots from outside that game.
If you're saying it all is pinned on Shef and Lahkin not dominating those other 5 players then I'll concede but honestly Clemson tends to be overmatched against really athletic teams. Its the same reason why we don't match up with Louisville. Their 2's and 3's are longer more athletic players that can control the boards against Chase/JZ/Heidbreider. Essentially its 5 Mcneese guys vying for rebounds against our 2 tall guys. Box out Shef and Lahkin and its pretty much them that gets the rebound.
What happens is people read the roster and see Reeves, Wiggins, and that one guy on our bench and say woah look at all these tall players. Those 3 are irrelevant in terms of being Big men. Maybe that's coaching not getting it out of them or maybe its just their disposition and skill set. WE really needed Reeves to contribute more this year.

Coach K wouldn't have let his players go out there completely unprepared. He valued the time, energy and dignity of his school more than mr brad "##########" Brownell does

Coaches are responsible for wins and losses. They are responsible for ensuring their teams are fundamentally and emotionally ready to play every game, especially a tournament game. We weren’t prepared and choked in the ACCT and NCAAT.
How many times must we witness a poorly prepared team before we assign the responsibility? It’s wholly on the coach. In any sport at any level.
