Traverse the Columbia valley gorge, see the waterfalls, hike some day trails.
Go up to Mt. Hood.
Go to McMenamin brewery (a former Great Depression poor house).
The wineries have changed around a lot since I was there, but most are great. Pinot Noir is the wine to get there.
See the Japanese Garden in Portland.
Nice to do if time… hike Mt St Helens to see that natural disaster magnitude and nature coming back.

.... we also went to Mt. Hood, spent half day on the Washington side of Columbia River Gorge and hald day on the Oregon side. (The Oregon side is much better.)
We also went to Mt. Rainer and Mt. St. Helens.

Definitely the Oregon coast. Most beautiful coast line in America. That and the Coast line south of San Fran.

Never seen the Alaskan coast I assume? And I like the coast north of San Fran where you run into the redwoods and sequoias.

Have seen them all. Took two Alaskan crusies and Spent a week in Denali National Park. Have been in all the national parks in the west. Have been up and down the Pacific coast from Carmel, Ca. to Vancouver. I still like the Oregon coast.

Stay at Timberline Lodge at Mt Hood. You can ski Mt Hood year round. Great Historical lodge.
https://www.timberlinelodge.com/Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood in Oregon offers one of the most exciting and unique high-alpine mountain experiences in North America, a destination offering skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, and lodging in a historic hotel.
Stay away from Portland. It has become a chithole city. The Oregon Coast is beautiful, but the water is always cold, even in July.
Here's a good rundown on Oregon. One of my fav. states to visit. Crater Lake and Columbia River Gorge and the Oregon Coast are the best.

Stay safe and enjoy your trip.

If you don’t stay at Timberland Lodge, for sure have lunch.
Also, downtown Portland is terrible, but check out the Deschutes Brew Pub if you are there (it they’re still in business). If not, the brewery is in Bend - worth the drive!

.... on vacation several years ago. Went to Northern CA.
Not sure what you are doing or how long you have, so I won't be much help.
My wife and I have made two trips to Oregon. We enjoyed things close the the valley including Oregon Caves National Park (when we visited it was so long ago it was just a State Park), Crater Lake and the Oregon Coast.

Gotta get over to Multnomah Falls. Cannon Beach is well worth it if you've got the time.

Also Corvallis is in the valley. If you haven't seen enough of DJ, he's there thriving in the nation's most advanced offensive system.
