We were losing at half to a bad team, we dominated the second half but as we should, we can’t expect Kentucky to allow that game to stay that close if we play like we played in the first half. If we play that way for 10 minutes it’ll be a massacre. Props to Brad because whatever he said at half got them boys going.

We had some big losses including PJ and Joe, plus we have 9 new faces this year. We are still learning to play together.
I do feel that we dominated overall. After a tough first half, we were up by 20 in the second half.

I said that we played good in the second half I was just saying that we didn’t play good at all in the first half whether we executed on offense or not(which we didn’t) if you don’t make your shots no one cares how well you ran the play.

Look at the Clemson UGA football game. 6-0 at halftime. 34-3 by the end.
Did we get dominated in the first? No. In the second? Vehemently, yes.
Outcomes > halves.
Nothing less important than the score at Halftime.

Basketball is a game where you don't have to dominate the whole game. First half shooting was not good...that happens. Second half we killed them. It's a good showing on the road

The 2018 Clemson national championship football team beat Cuse by four points at home. Were they a bad team? SF basketball is a good team who will make the dance or at least be a bubble team. Judging a basketball team based on one half of basketball makes you a LF member. As for your other point, constitutional free speech has nothing to do with a message board.

I didn’t judge the team off of a half I judged the game off of a half. I am impressed with the way we played in the second half but I am extremely disappointed with that first half performance.

With that knowledge the dolphins were the best team in the nfl in 2019 because they beat the patriots who beat the rams in the Super Bowl.

It was a defensively dominant game, especially in the second half. Even in the first half, san francisco hit two threes after the refs missed a turnover (double dribble and a travel).
Our offense in the first half wasn't ran poorly, we just didn't make shots. I know that is kind of cliche, but watching the game that's exactly what it was. Several low post near misses, in the lane runners, and good looks at three that were missed. We started clicking in the second half.
As to your statement that this team is supposed to be better than last years... says who? I think we are deeper, but our starting five is certainly not better on the offensive side of the ball. We are better defensively all around, and I think you will see more defensive minded game plans in that sense.
PJ and Girard were a duo on offense that will not be replicated often, but Girard was certainly a liability on defense.

Being that we almost scored 50 points in the second half I do not think it was a defensively dominated half we dominated on defense they did not. It’s like last year at duke you can say we lost that game because of refs but the reality is that we let duke come back and therefore let the refs alter the final score, we can’t let crap like that happen this year. I’m not denying the fact that we don’t have the firepower we had last year but we are arguably going to go a top 5 maybe even top 3 defensive team in the acc this year. This years duo in Ian and chase is arguably better than pj hall and girard and that’s because we couldn’t guarantee pj wouldn’t foul out and girard could score unless he was 20+ feet away from the basket.

Sure it was a good win, if UofSF can actually prove that they’re a good team. Losing by less than double digits to a good team doesn’t mean you’re a good team. Take wake forest for example they beat duke last year, therefore they are a very good team. Right???

It’ll be fun watching to see how far these kids go this season.

That was NOT a bad team we beat last night, and I don't think we played that badly in the first half. We did play better in the second half, and I credit Brownell for motivating the youngsters at halftime to do so.
The Dons came out playing bully ball, and Scheffelein (forgive if misspelled) said "BRING IT!!" We beat that San Fran team at their own game. We wore their arzes out in the second half. I was impressed.
