I have never seen a guy who could make a better tough throw and miss an easy throw by a mile. The most maddeningly inconsistent qb I've ever seen.

He was getting the luv at OSU as well. Played just like he did at Clemson, but with a much better OL and running attack with the Beavers. Unless something miraculous happens, expect the same over throws and under throws and slow decision making.

A PAC-12 O-line was only up against a PAC-12 D-line so it's hard to know for sure. He had very comparable numbers under Streeter his last year here, if not a little better outside of QBR.
Streeter had him at 8-0 in 2022 prior to the Notre Dame game. I don't see Norvell and him accomplishing the same this season.

If his O-line is better than anything he has ever had he is going to just move very little from left to right and then launch the ball....or look for the 7 yard routes

He is one player on a team. FSU has a rather weak schedule with SMU, Miami, Notre Dame and us on their schedule. They should be 5-0, if they can beat SMU, when we play them the first Saturday of October so will find out how good they are then.

There's some ways he could potentially do it. And one scenario could likely get us both in.
If we beat Georgia, and then they keep being Georgia and ranked highly afterwards, and our only loss is to FSU. Then FSU wins the ACC. Automatic bid. But, I can't the committee leaving out that 1 loss Clemson team.
I suspect we'll see similar to the same ole DJ this season myself. Either way, I'm ready to watch

He’s just simply too slow, can’t throw the ball at times and can’t move. I look for FSU to lose at least 3 or more games with this dude. He’s just not a good QB but it’s Cade we gotta worry about, if he doesn’t step up this year we’re doomed and did you know Cade was a 5 star prospect? It’s his time to shine. If he doesn’t we’re screwed simple as that

1. They’re tired of Clemson winning the ACC.
2 DJ hasn’t really made a jump since his freshman to sophomore year. I’d expect him to put up about 25 tds and 10 ints this season. His rushing yards and tds will probably go up just because of the fact that I think Norvell is going to use him heavier in the rushing attack than anyone else has.

FSU always has a bunch of athletes. They will be fast. DJ is in his 5th year. I believe a lot of the issues he had here were mental more than physical. If he is ever going to put it all together this would be the year. Look at the last several national champions. I’m not saying I think FSU will win it all by any means, but the pieces are in place based on recent history for them to be at least able to make a playoff run. I’m not predicting it, just saying it wouldn’t really be a stretch for it to happen. We just need to take care of our business and beat them.

That is exactly what I thought when he was playing here. And that is my point. This is his 5th year. If he is ever going to get past that, he should be there by now and FSU will have a lot of athletic talent around him.
