She’s a great coach who has to listen to a bunch of stupid garbage and is tired of it. She has her own opinions about things like everyone else. Put yourself in her place as a female and a minority and listen to what she hears regularly. You’d be aggravated too .I don’t like South Carolina athletics, but I don’t let that cloud my sense of decency. Y’all need to back off the trash talk.

women who play for her. I think she is a good person with good intentions. Now, however, after a tough loss to Iowa following a tremendous season (36-1), instead of the story being what a great season they had, she has made the story one of bitterness over perceived racial insults.
Unless she knows something she is not telling, it's a huge stretch to twist coach Luder's words into a racial insult, or an insult at all, and looks more like sour grapes than a legitimate complaint.
Instead of teaching her players that "Hey look, there may be a hint of racism under that rock over there ... no, not that one, keep turning them over until you find it", she should be teaching them "Look at what you have done! Look at what you can do, if you work hard and do things the right way! In spite of any obstacles or detractors, YOU hold the key to your destiny, and you have the power to be wildly successful.".

When it came down to it and the Refs called the game like they should and Staley's court leader, Boston, sat the bench a good portion of the first half and had to play a fairly "normal" game in the 2nd half.
The team was hurt without Boston's usual play because she found out you can't knock, bump, grab, smack or just maul the other team to get to the basket. Well you can, but you have to accept the consequences. The problem is that the SEC Refs let UofSC skate on their style of play, and in the end, it did UofSC no favors.
They lost and Staley did not handle it well. At least have some class in defeat. Don't blame it on media statements or pull the race card unless you're willing to name names. You were beat by a better "basketball" team Friday night.

Of what they view as rule interpretations as in call contact fouls as they should be called. One says it’s like a bar fight and we are now having this discussion because of who? The odd timing of it all but says this is my platform and here’s what I want to talk about. What was she trying to accomplish in that moment in time. Very odd. Maybe she was trying to defend her style of play but she brought a lot of peripheral crap into it. Their style of play is fine and has them as the best program still. Her feelings were hurt and she looked for someone/something to blame.

What exactly has she heard? Please share quotes with me… from what I’ve read she has heard one coach complain about officiating and staying his player had bruises so he was pushing officials to do a better job. The other coach stated rebounding against the coots was like having a bar fight and be prepared to be physical.
Help me understand what is wrong about either of those statements. The only statement I’ve seen that uses the words “thug” and “monkies” has come from Staley herself.

She went to the racist side when she decided that the Utah incident - that had no proof - was true. Then she cancelled their game. The investigation came up that it did not happen.

by refusing to schedule BYU. ANd then when her reason for not scheduling BYU was proven to be TOTALLY FALSE, and she said she had done her own investigation and would stand be her decision. If the President of South Carolina had any backbone, he would have fired her on the spot. Two National Championships or not.
