People talking about us only winning 5-6 games after we lost to a good Duke team on the road with a new OC and offensive scheme along with a QB in his 2nd start. Its like no one did their homework on a 9-4 Duke team returning everyone including a QB that will be the 3rd one taken in the draft this year.
Throw in the 2 TOs on the 1 yard line and 2 missed FG and what exactly were you expecting? This team will be fine. Maybe not a NC winning team but we will win 10-11 games as always.

I agree it’s not time to give up on the season after only one game but at the same time I didn’t see much to be encouraged about. It looked a LOT like last year only worse because of the turnovers.

Lots of trolls and Cluckers! Plus drunk dramatical fans. Yeah, this loss sux and isn't what we expected but can be corrected. We have lost some fire and I hope that isn't coach BV affect?

I woke this morning feeling like I had been on a 5 day bender. Headache, foggy memory of something gone bad and a nasty taste in my mouth and then I looked in the liquor cabinet and my horror realized I hadn't drank a drop.

Can’t believe the complete ineptitude inside the 10. You turn it over that many times down there and miss 2 fg’s it just ain’t your night. Horrible, undisciplined display that was probably in top 3 worst Dabo coached team displays. Ugh.

What happens when you whip a dog? This fan base has seen this old song and dance before. They can appreciate just getting outright whipped but what they can't appreciate is having smoke blown up their ##### all summer long in anticipation of this absolute sh*t show last night. Clemson should have won just by stepping off the bus! That is the standard....or is it? No one knows anymore. If you can't see the glaring inconsistencies with our program and others across the nation then you are blind. Dabo lies constantly to us...more so about portal usage...he needs to be gone.

I appreciate your optimism but come on. You really think winning 10-11 games is an automatic this year? Have you even looked at the schedule? We are 0-1, to get 11 wins we need to go 11-0, really? Based on last night, what makes you think we are going to sweep FSU, ND and UNC much less not potentially stumble against USC, NCST, Wake or Miami? Given the new ACC format, there are zero guarantees we make the ACC championship game.
I get that pumpers are gonna pump but at what point does reality set in? I am not willing to waive the white flag after one game but we are closer to going off the rails than making the CFP. Our margin for error is now zero for the season be a successful one which is where I agree with you, 10-11 wins.

To me it is this simple. We have an allegedly elite coaching staff that gets paid an absurd amount of money. We have elite recruits of some of them get paid NIL dollars because they are "elite". No matter how new anyone is it is not unreasonable in the least to expect elite results from a program that on the surface is supposed to be one of the most elite programs in college football.
Clemson has 26 players getting NIL money to Duke's four. Duke entire school NIL for Basketball women's soccer etc only has 13. So our football team is being paid like they are elite players and Duke's essentially is not.
Stop this nonsense they they are new and inexperienced. for an elite program against even a good Duke team as solid win would have been a hick-up. A blowout is not an unreasonable expectation based on the sheer amount of money the "talent" is being paid.
