I believe Dabo is sticking and loading up with talent to win NC #4 and help Clemson as they move into this super conference. He may want make sure Clemson is one of the first few teams to get into the super conference to give them more control over Clemson. I believe Dabo wants to at least try to keep Clemson from becoming a one of cheaters on the new super conference.
IMO this super conference will be telling ESPN and other networks what games to cover. And this super conference will own the NCAA if it’s even part of the super conference. I believe a draft potential teams and some of the rules have already been drawn up.
The coots will not be one of those teams. And this Super Conference will take control of the CFP’s to.
In 2017 and 2018 some people blasted me for my negative post about the destruction NIL would have on college sports. Especially college football.
I wonder how many on Tigernet has been affected financially through IPTAY, increases in ticket prices, cost of parking, concessions. Fans that have had lower deck tickets being booted to the upper deck, players selling their services and in some cases running certain programs.
Once this super conference is formed DV may sale naming rights of the stadium. Clemson may have to rent DV because half of their players may not even attend classes. They may be payed just to play football.
Now you come to the North Carolina’s and Coots. They are investing more money in their football program’s history. I think they are getting prepared for those left out of the Super Conference. I think they will form a new conference that may include NC, SC, other mid level schools in what’s left of the SEC, ACC and Big Ten.
This is how I see the future of college football developing over the next 4 to 8 years or it may happen sooner. It’s hard to say because college football is rapidly making constant changes. And more and more it’s all about the money. What will the name of the Super Conference use ???
What do some of you TNetters think ???

Also interested in UVA. May just be posturing, but they want to have all the southern "University of (fill in the state name)" and many of those are obviously not SuperConference material. You need somebody to schedule for Homecoming.

SEC and B1G have said they aren't interested in forming a super conference.

The only super conference that may be formed is from the SEC and Big10 trying to expand media rights revenue and minimize non-football sports expenses. The business model has to make sense before anyone goes down that road. All these super league proposals so far can’t demonstrate a workable business model outside of venture capital trying to get in on the revenue game.

If we stop playing the coots and another sec team to start the year…our strength of schedule would be trash. We need the coots in our schedule!

That’s actually not true, I used to think it was too but I looked it up and it was proposed but never ratified

When the super conference comes

And it will come someday, probably around 2030/31 when the Big10/SEC media rights expire, the schools will hold the cards, not ESPN. Think about the NFL, the teams aren’t beholden to the networks, the networks are beholden to the league. For sure they both need each other but there are more choices for the league than for the networks. It will be the same in college with a super conference.
The ADs from the biggest market teams will hold the most sway, but make no mistake, it will be the ADs who make the rules and decide who’s in and out the same way NFL owners do today.

"College Football Doomsday Post"
All jokes aside I think there is some truth to this but I think we will continue our rivalry with the coots and DV will not be changing names. Conference Re-Alignment is still coming but we aren't gonna be starting new leagues. NIL needs more restrictions or needs to go away. I agree that it is ruining college sports.

Both AD's have confirmed the rivalry will continue. It's not going anywhere.
