and given that the PAC 12 really doesn't exist anymore,
does Deon Sanders intend to lobby for Colorado to replace the MEAC in the Celebration Bowl?
Just trying to figure out what level of gratuitous hyperventilating we're all supposed to ultimately do around a man
who literally bought his team no differently than did Jerry Jones.

CFB started as a club sport oh so many years ago, and the college affiliation had no intent of being monetized at the professional level.
If you d-a’s want a pro league minor to the NFL, then go start that league, build those stadiums, recruit those customers, and pay this 13-year olds.
What’s going on now is privatization of societal assets, including the all-important ready made customers, for the gain of who? Who’s going to get shares divvied up when private equity comes calling? My family’s been in IPTAY for 65 years - we goin to get paid? Yeah, right.
So yeah, eff off Deon and everyone else who is involved in the biggest Heist in history.

I like Prime. I feel like if you have an issue with his antics and the way he promotes his program it probably comes from a place of hate in your heart.
Maybe you just don't like to see successful Black coaches doing things with their own unique personality.
Maybe that's not your reason and it's totally a good reason why you don't like him but you got to admit that he's already surpassed expectations by beating TCU on the road and it looks like Shadeur might make a push for the Heisman as well as Travis Hunter.
Either way its fun to watch one of the most dynamic athletes of all time find a lot of success coaching as well.

Except you don't think Beamer is the most egotistical clown show alive like you said about Prime. Which kinda seems like you have a prejudice against Black coaches doing things with their own style and flavor.
Just sayin...

Where you a long jump champion at one time? Cause that was a heck of a conclusion to jump to after I said I like Prime as a coach and you only had derogatory things to say about him.

You, sir, are the one to take the long jump and pull the race card. Nothing he said was about race. So maybe you need to take a look in your own mirror.
I believe Deon may be a great coach, but his style and antics arere a negative. I cant stand showboating. And Neon Deon was the absolute king of showboating. Its a lack of respect for players. No one mans up when they blow a play. Its a distraction from Team. Could care less about the color of his skin.

Tony Dungy and Deion Sanders are both successful coaches who happen to be black. The things I admire about one and don’t like about the other have nothing to do with the color of their skin.
But that’s just me…

People in this society have come to realize that if they possess certain quantities of melanin, they can act any way they want. If you call them out on their behaviors, NOT their skin color or other physical markers, you have turned yourself into a RASSIST.
This is the way of the times. Know that if you criticize someone that doesn't resemble you, you will be ostracized and cancelled for RASSIST tendencies.
I have realized this and do my best to reserve any harsh criticism for my own children - because they resemble me and I can get away with it. We are in an era where it is a requirement to 'Live, and let live' no matter how much you may disagree with the actions of others.

He told the media he was going to return a punt for a TD the year of the "puntrooskie". Furthermore, some FSU fans stole our cooler of beer from our parking space. But he does back up what he says. I didn't like him as a Brave either, even thought he helped with the chop getting started.

I personally don’t like any big mouth clowns teaching kids that’s how they’re supposed to act. Kids deserve better, and so does society. Didn’t like Ali, didn’t like Manzeil, don’t like Burrow, you can go right on down the effing line.
And you’re right, I’ve got hate - hate for dipwads like you who go around presuming racism on the part of anyone who doesn’t toe your line. You’re the problem, but, not me.

someone's comment that they don't care for Deion. With has flamboyant personality, it's easy to see why many dislike him! Personally, I;m not a fan of his antics, but I mostly just ignore it. But as long as he is having success, he will get the attention.

I don't want Colorado to be the future of CFB. That doesn't mean it won't be, at least to some degree. I think Prime's portal usage is a lot different going forward. He's not going to swap out 60+ players every year. I could see him averaging around a dozen or so IF the NIL money is there to keep them coming. This season is an experiment. Not all 70 of those transfers are getting enough PT to satisfy them. There will be some attrition but Deion has no problem with that. He's running a very NFL model with handling players. Most 18 year olds aren't ready for that. We'll see how it pans out with a few freshman classes and the inevitable recruiting misses.
I am fine with NIL. I am fine with the transfer portal. I hate that Tez Walker was denied a waiver but that's going to happen if players don't use that one time exemption judiciously. I wish there was more structure around NIL, even if it is structure I don't like. At the current pace, the universities with giant NIL collectives powered by deep pocket boosters and fan bases are going to rule the day in collecting coach and player talent. I think the next step is some of these places are going to help schools override the scholarship limit by guaranteeing NIL money to offset tuition and expenses. The scholarship limit was imposed b/c Bear Bryant just out bodied every other school. Some variation of that has to be on the table or the continuity of dozens of schools will be at risk.
I also think it's time to blow up the NCAA and replace it with a governing board where the athletes have an equal voice. The NCAA stuck their collective heads in the sand while this movement was coming. Legal exposure will do that to you. I guess. I think everybody involved is greedy, schools, media deals, players, coaches, all of them. But that is where society is. Everybody get everything you can while you can. Long term consequences be ######.
