Lamar Jackson says he would have voted for Deshaun Watson
The reaction to Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson’s Heisman win has been varied among Clemson fans, fans who wanted to see Tiger quarterback Deshaun Watson win the award. And while Jackson has raised a few eyebrows following his Saturday night victory by posing for pictures with former Heisman winner Johnny Manziel, the redshirt sophomore signal said Monday that he would have voted for Watson. We all disagree with what happened but...
A) Jackson is still an exceptional player, and
B) We all know the voting process is BS anyway. We've known this since Spiller didn't even get invited.

I didn't expect this, it kind of changed my perspective on the whole deal. It's easy to point fingers at Jackson's flaws for Watson not winning it, but we have to realize, he's not the one that voted. As disappointed that I am that Watson didn't win it, I give props to Jackson for putting up the stats that he did, and especially for saying this about Watson. He's looking up to those other guys that sat beside him Saturday night instead of thinking of how much better or more deserving that he is.

...that I would care this little. Over the first (6) weeks of the season, all we heard is, 'where is that vaunted offense' from the Clemson critics. We continued to win. Then when DW4 put up monstrous numbers it became a lot closer. My point is, who cares? The Heisman would have been nice, but as a Tiger faithful, I want the one that matters. The Natty. And if one positive can come from the snubbing (and it was), it is that we all hope it lights an even bigger fire under our TEAM. And that is the point, it is a team game. Go TIGERS!!! A final thought, how have the last six winners fared in the NFL?

anyone in their right mind would vote for themselves....and if you say you wouldn't, I would say you are not telling the truth.
That is easy for him to say NOW, but it is not the truth. And if he is taking advice from johnny,,well, enough said. Heck, he does not even know how to poise for the Heisman.
But one thing is for sure, he will not have the chance this year to hold another coveted trophy. One that is better than what a 3 loss qb does not stand a chance to hold.
He is saying the pc thing and that is all

I think seeing Deshaun be so humble may have rubbed off on him. I just wish Lamar wasn't playing for that idiot coach petrino who cussed out our line judge during the game. Such a low class coach

and I think he was playing to the crowd by giving accolades to the competition, which is fine.
I don't believe he would have been nearly as gracious in a loss as DW4.

a standout performer all year. Even in defeat he has put up crazy stats. He never did anything to deserve the hate that some of our "fans" threw at him. Even when UL fans were screaming about the "choke" LJ just said "that's football". I especially like when our "fans" hate on him for showboating...I don't think some of y'all have ever actually watched DW4 at all.
Many of y'all allowed your dislike of UL's internet "fans" get to you. Many of you embarrassed the majority of Clemson fans with your hate.
DW4 deserved the award but so did LJ.

Epic choking vs Houston wins you Heisman. Yes huge game vs FSU and good game vs Clemson. But his losses were FAR worse then DW4s loss to a Pitt team that played their hearts out and also beat the Big 10 champ.
Congrats to him. He can put it in a he chair beside him and cheer DW4 on against Ohio State from the comfort of his own dorm room.
