Flashback to that time (three days ago) NC_Tiger_ said he hoped Asheville remained a wreck (you know, the place where they're still finding bodies and kids don't know where their parents are) so his fellow Americans and North Carolinians who live there were unable to vote in the election. And then RememberTheDanny gave it a TU.
These are the same two people who had a months long ban from this site from posts in the same thread where they, respectively, told a poster his daughter was a slut (simply for disagreeing with NC) and another that he had incestual relations with his daughter (RLowTD did that one).
Now, I'm sure the original post flew under their "allies" radar which is why they didn't respond, so I'll put it out here and give them the opportunity to express their disgust at crossing the line between political affiliation and human decency/humanity. I'll assume silence or a snarky reply means they're complicit in NC and RLowTD's behavior.
These two guys are the real face of Trumpism: Ugly, cowardly, hateful comments. Pseudo Christianity. Absolutely zero integrity, character, or moral compass.
Enjoy!

And to suggest fellow Americans (hell, people in your own state) continue to suffer because someone thinks they'll vote differently than him, well, that says all you need to know about the kind of man (or lack of) he is.

I understand you're trying to tag some TNet Trump supporters as the real face of the Trump movement. Go ahead, I get it, there are some scum of the earth rednecks backing the guy. Take a cruise on TikTok or any other social media site and see what those Harris supporters are saying. I've seen comments happy about the destruction to the "slave states". Laughing that the red states and Trump supporters are getting what they deserve. Ugly falls on both sides of the political spectrum. Coming on here and acting like it doesn't kinda shows me what kind of man or lack thereof you may be.
We get it, you don't like Trump. I honestly wonder how he remains as popular as he is. Do you have the stones to show the hate from the other side as well or do you just ignore it?

And a sad whatabout.
Take a cruise on TikTok or any other social media site and see what those Harris supporters are saying.
No. Because I'm not going on TikTok. I'm on Facebook, and I don't see this out of Harris supporters.
I'm here. I see THIS board and THESE posters--people representing Clemson, supposedly. That makes me ashamed that they consider themselves part of our fanbase.
If I saw a "Harris supporter" (not really any here) post this trash here, you'd get the same reaction from me. I'm fully aware there are trash liberals and Dems out there, and when I encounter them, I'll let them know in that forum. But that's not what's happening on this board. Any liberal celebrating the hurricane is just as much trash as NC_Tiger.
Don't ask me to be better. YOU be better. YOU denounce this. YOU constantly sit on your thumbs as they post this trash. YOU are part of the problem because you think they're on "your side".

Yeah, you don't. You rarely post here (Politics) and usually it's just some partisan snark. If ya did it all the time, I'd see you call one of these clowns out.

I don't live on TNet like some of you. Most political posts on here fall inline with your BS so no need to react by posting. I doubt seriously that any post I've had on here has been a "partisan snark." I call out friends to their face instead of hiding behind a message board. Big talk from an old man. Continue yelling at clouds.

Excellent comments. Attacking people over who they are going to vote for his disgusting and has been proven by Hillary Clinton that it does not work.

When republicans start acting like democrats
3

There's bad people on both sides of the political spectrum. Always has been. I've seen some horrible comments made by democrats, and I'm seeing just as many made by republicans today. It's a sign of a failed system IMO. And both sides would rather fight it out, and destroy freedom, rather than compromise or find a better solution.
As we decline, the choices for President in particular, will get worse and worse. It's textbook what we're living through really, if you study history. It generally doesn't end well, unless cooler heads prevail. Cooler heads don't win elections these days, so that's part of the problem. It's a problem very common in "democracies".
Just think about it, from a general, overall "quality" aspect. Who has America had as even being a choice for their vote for President in the past 8 years? Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, Joe Biden, and Kamala Harris. Those are the choices we've been presented by both parties. NONE are optimal, Trump for pubs or Harris for dems, or even Biden now. The bigger question which ALL candidates want to avoid is "Why are these our choices in the first place?". Why are we limited to a demented octogenarian, and a narcissistic egomaniac in Trump? Or a cold, frigid woman or a goofy one? Why are there no "news" networks that show both sides of any issue today? Why is there no candidate who proposes both dem and pub ideas? Why are we locked into a system of incivility and tribalism? WHY?
No one wants to hear that answer. That much is bipartisan, as is our core problem. Make that core problem partisan, and you can feign a solution to it.

And you're right about the bad on both sides. The problem we're seeing is that the ### clowns now think it's acceptable to behave that way, and Trump has taught them this.
Look at the terrible things he constantly says and does with no accountability. A person with no integrity or morality like NC or RLowTD, who in the past would have remained silent, now thinks it's acceptable to behave that way.
The worst part about that is it's teaching children that it's okay to act like this.
I see people on here say, "I don't like Trump as a person or what he does, but I support his policies." Okay. I don't agree with that, but I UNDERSTAND that. And at least that person has the sense and integrity to know Trump is a #### person.
Someone like NC or RLowTD look at Trump and say, "I've finally found my ### hole leader so now I can openly be the ### hole I've always been."
EDIT: I mistyped it so it read "You're the about the bad on both sides" when it should have read "You're RIGHT about the bad on both sides."

Meh, it's a sign of people. People are people. The one thing you can guarantee
1

is that people will always want whatever is best for THEMSELVES. Our founding fathers crafted a "system" designed with "people" in mind. They knew people are selfish, self-interested, and prone to abuse power, money, control, and others, if it benefits themselves. They knew politicians would not always be Godly people. They knew there had to be barriers established to prevent tyranny. They knew the inherent flaws in monarchies, dictatorships, and even knew the evils of communism before it existed, AND they knew the inherent problems with democracies. There is no perfect governemnt, political party, or leader. They knew that because The Enlightenment taught them that.
All of the brakes, all of the controls they established to prevent tyranny, lay in the "republican" aspects of our structure, as a nation. And "republican" as I just used it has NOTHING to do with a political party, it's a structural form of governemnt. A republic is weak, and prone to being conquered. They knew that too. They also knew a democracy doesn't work for a large and diverse nation. They purposefully left GREAT leeway to states to control their own destiny, and our collective destiny.
And honestly, only the states can save us, at this point. And they won't. Only the states can drain the swamp. Only the states can reign in Washington DC. No politician who is elected will, or could. Congress does not hold a monopoly on the Constitution. It was created by the states. It would not exist without the states. And only the states can save it.
States can amend the constitution, outside the purview of Congress. They have that CONSTITUTIONAL ability, and power. And it's NEVER been used. NEVER. And that's why we're in our present situation. The 5th Amendment was seen by our founders, correctly, as an emergency measure states have to make structural or procedural changes to the legislative branch that the legislative branch would never make themselves. THE KNEW the achilles heel of democracies, and that is EXACTLY the reason the 5th Amendment was created and crafted.
Term limits must be forced upon a body that will never limit their tenure as it is not in their self-interest. A balanced budget must be forced upon a body incapable of spending less, as their unlimited tenure is only extended by spending more dollars. And only states can force those changes. And if "the people" could stop arguing about Trump and Biden and Harris, and Vance, and whatever else, if PEOPLE were even told of the option and power THEY have, through their own states, PEOPLE would overwhelmingly force a balanced budget, and force term limits on the one branch of governemnt who has, for decades, had a sub 25% approval rating. The people know the problem, and it's the people who would rather ignore it and blame someone else, who will run us into the dirt.

It's ok to disagree, yet remain civil. That should be the expectation. Wishing death on a group of people who have different political views than your own, is indefensible.
There have been some anti Trump folks on this site that have stated for the record that they would be ok with him being assassinated or stroking out. That's not particularly mature either.
I finally have semi decent internet service and have realized how much of a waste of time it is to spend on this political forum after dealing with and continuing to deal now and for weeks and perhaps months to come with damage to my home. I'm sure the people of western NC are really concerned with politics at this moment.
Everyone whether for Trump. Harris or neither needs to relax and assess what's really important and realize we're all on this same orb in space sharing 99.9% of the same DNA material and just chill the hell out.
Wishing harm or death on fellow Americans is very sick and it's a problem on both sides.
If you want to do something productive today, consider giving generously to the Red Cross or Samaritan's Purse. You're a few clicks away from doing something worthwhile.

I don't recall anyone being okay with him being assassinated but I'll take your word for it. And for the record, that's not okay, either.

Ignore a guy who was president?
Little hard to do unless one just wants to remain ignorant of what's happening in our country.
What if Trump lovers acquired some integrity and stopped worshipping a POS like him that leads to make stupid comments like NC_Tiger did? Maybe if they sought out real role models?

If you’re not voting for him and despise his existence, sure you can ignore him. Real role models like Biden and Harris? Which role models do you speak of. Are there any in DC?
I think what a lot of people don’t understand about Trump is the very things that disgust you and others about him, is the very thing that endears him to the average, everyday American. Like me.
We enjoy someone that’s not scared to say what’s on his mind and will not let anyone get over on him. The mean tweets or whatever are hilarious and represent how many, many people feel.
We enjoy the nicknames and the smart a$$ comments to other politicians. And his policies line up with the mindset of millions of people. I think he won in 2016 because of his strong stance on immigration, the wall. People are tired of being invaded and being told they are racist for not liking being taken advantage of.
As for the comments that NC_Tiger made, I think it was in bad taste. I don’t agree at all. But I would bet he doesn’t literally mean he wants people to cease to exist. At least I hope not. He may just be fed up with things himself.
I hope you and others can find peace with the fact that Trump exists on this planet and will more than likely win this election cycle.

Sorry, I don't ignore anything our politicians do when it comes to governing. But are there real role models in DC? Not really. Maybe someone on the Commanders...?

I have a hard time believing you like the things that disgust me about Trump. His hateful statements, his desire to be a dictator, his disrespect for our constitution, his racism, his hate for women, etc.
If you want to just talk policy, we can; I'm not 100 percent against all of Trump's policy but the good gets grossly overshadowed by the bad.

I'm glad you denounced his comments; too many others here have been too cowardly or agree with them. For NC_Tiger, he meant them. He has a long history of posting hateful, despicable comments. Again, he called one poster's daughter a slut just because that poster disagreed with him about a topic, which I think was on trans people using bathrooms. He's a POS.

Wow Cat, this really blew your skirt up. Wonder what he was hitting at with that comment about 6.5 weeks and Asheville proper?
For the record it was cruel to wish further pain on a community. Not cool.

It was pretty obvious what he was hinting at.

He replied to NC_Tiger and clearly backs him on his statements. So include Tom in it as agreeing with him.

But don't worry SOLOS, everyone that has TU'd it so far is part of your "Circle"...whenever you realize that you're just projecting your "Circle" as your misfits of NC_Tiger_, Tom, cashmoney, rangers, etc., let me know.

I imagine he went right along with it because he's just a nerd trying to fit in with a crew he thinks loves him. He doesn't really know what he believes.
