Here's to hoping X can play this entire season at 100% and

reap the end benefits of a phenomenal Senior season.

It's amazing the path he's taken. I truly expected him to be a 3 and done player after his freshman season.

But Dabo’s beliefs and building his program

On Christian fundamentals has no positive impact on recruiting and is something he should stop talking about. He says some goofy things sometimes but the kids respond and that’s what counts. Case in point getting XT to begin with out of HS and him staying another year now. Look at all the guys we have that stick around. What other program is doing that?

Not everything in life is about business and not everything about college football and recruiting is, well, about football and recruiting.

Some seem to believe that walking while chewing gum cannot exist. Those people are mistaken.

Dabo evaluates and develops relationships with players based on multiple factors.

Sure, football talent is a must-have criterion … no doubting that.

Good enough student to get into Clemson is another must-have criterion.

However, with a program’s culture being important as well, and with Clemson’s FB culture striving for selflessness and team-first orientation, Christian beliefs coincide perfectly with that cultural objective.

Since faking it cannot be a sustainable narrative, it takes a true believer in Christianity at the top of a program to build a program that is based on the Christian value of self-sacrifice and concern about the well-being of others.

That Christianity is so widely renown as a foundation for selflessness and concern about others makes it much easier to be credible about the cultural objectives of a program by linking those cultural objectives to Christianity.

Dabo should feel free to share his beliefs with prospective players. Some of them may not like this; there is always Texas A&M for them.

Fortunately … like a true Christian … Dabo is not fearful or worried if people (including potential recruits) don’t like what he has to say about his Christian beliefs. His beliefs are a foundation of who he is, and … not being a phony … not afraid to let people know who he is.

Huh? Declaring for the draft would be a bigger "chance"

Jan 6, 2023, 11:44 PM

because nobody would select XT and he'd be an undrafted free agent. That very rarely works out.

By returning, he has one last opportunity to prove himself to NFL evaluators and could end up being a second day selection in 2024.

Obviously you are not aware of the undrafted and late round players currently in the NFL.

Resting that foot and getting him back at 100 percent will create one of the best. He could be an amazing player this year.

XT is a real man and the extra year may give him opportunities of which we had never dreamed...XT is very versatile and could play other positions...what bout linebacker or free safety! XT might do many things and make himself much more versatile!
