How to best avoid DUI

This is not just for UGA football players.
It is likely I have been involved in more DUI episodes than anyone here. Here is some expert advice.
-- Don't speed when drunk. -- Don't drive too slow when drunk. -- Don't use more than one lane. -- Don't weave in traffic, stay in one lane with the traffic flow. -- Don't be on the road drunk after midnight. -- Use your headlights after dark. -- Don't have faulty tail or head lights. -- Don't wreck. -- Don't go the wrong way on a one way. -- Don't drive drunk.
Drunks tend to scream out for cops to take a closer look and have a hard time blending in.

Georgia has 22,881 cops who would be unemployed if all obeyed the law. Is that what you want? I think the Dawgs deserve a little credit for keeping these folks employed.

I got my license at at 14, my first car at 16, so have been driving for over 60 years here and abroad.
I got a ticket at 17 after a wreck when my buddy was driving. I had to say I was driving due to insurance paying. That is the only ticket I have gotten. I have deserved many more, but --? I may get one tomorrow.
Cops are not stopping folks unless they make an ### of themselves.

I got stopped for "wanting to stop but not stopping" at the top of that intersection on campus by the stadium with the cemetery to the left. There were zero cars on campus because it was break, and yes, it is possible that in my stick-drive Accent, my wheels may actually have technically moved while I was sitting at the stop bar on the way up. Did I get ticketed for rolling? Oh no, baby. Teenaged officer wrote it for the full 250 bucks. "Wait, you wrote it for "disregarded" rather than "rolling" even though you just stood there and told me that I clearly "wanted" to stop?" "Well," he says, "just come to court to say all that." Trust me when I tell you officers are completely capable of being a**es without anybody else's help.

Thousands and thousands of cops, and folks want them all to be perfect. They are as varied as any other profession.
Once that may have been nearly the case, but these days to hire anyone, the bar must be set low. Few folks capable of the job want to be cops these days.

I've always thought that the best way to avoid getting caught driving while drinking is to never get behind the wheel after you've had that first drink. If we do that, we'll never get caught for driving under the influence of alcohol!!!

When pulling over onto the shoulder to take a pee, there are two highly complex tasks that must be fulfilled.
Always put the car in park after you stop, shut off the car, go over to the side of the car that’s furthest away from the road, and make sure that you are fully outside of the headlights when relieving yourself.
After getting back in the car, close the door before falling asleep.

My Dad told me not to drink and drive but if I did only use my turn signal for changing lanes and around town. He said if you use your turn signal for every everything it would be a red flag because people don't always use them especially out in the country away from town.
From your perspective Tug was that good advice?
