you dont. they just wouldnt call it. then the second time they do. refs need to be suspended for that

Agree refs need to take more ownership for mistakes in a game either by suspension without pay or a fine or both. Until you hit’em where it hurts they have nothing to lose.

In the big games like the playoffs and the NC game or the NCAA BB NC , if a ref reaches that level and calls as poor of a game as they did Monday night keeping Bama in the game then they should be fired.

If somebody like me who needs glasses can see the penalty then the refs should not miss it. Maybe the speed of the game requires at least one maybe two more officials. They don’t have to be on the field. They could with binoculars be up in the press box area and communicate the penalty to the refs down on the field that can throw a flag.
